There is an even older Dimmu video, which is of their first ever concert. They does it without synth, and it's in black/white. It's from 1995 in Germany somwhere. They play mainly 'Stormblåst' material, except 'Over Blekende Blåner...', with a guest vocalist if I'm not mistaken. It's rare, I've only seen it on trade lists, but it's out there somwhere. thanks for sharing this.
gran cancion, dimmu ya no la toca en vivo, buenos tiempos eran estos cuando tocaban en su mayoria del enthroned darkness triumphant, for all tid y stormblast, definitivamente el viejo dimmu se extraña,
it's so funny that even though they are in their scary corpse paint, you can tell they are a bunch of nervous kids, scared that they are playing in front of a live crowd for on of their first few times.
@SilverTounge85 the guest was Aldrahn, the guy which sang on Over Bleknede... the setlist was: Stormblast Over Bleknede Blaner Til Dommedag *with Aldrahn* Da Den Kristne Satte Livet Til Alt Lys Er Svunnet Hen Nar Sjelen Hentes Til Helvete Guds Fortapelse - Apenbaring av Dommedag *with Aldrahn* Vinder Fra En Ensom Grav *with Aldrahn again :P*
@pandaemonaeo buying a cd does not necessarily make you a true fan. buying a CD supports the band and the label. back in 1995 i probably would have bought it, but nowadays there is no fucking reason to buy any dimmu borgir CD / DVD because they and nuclearblast already have enough money shoven up their ass.
Stormblast is the second album, I'm talking about their debut, For All Tid. www.metal-archives.com/albums/Dimmu_Borgir/For_all_tid/336 He switched to Guitar and second vocalist for Stormblast, and then full time Vocals from Devil's Path on.
.... I wasn't talking about this video. Nothing in my post said anything about Shagrath in this video. You said that it was incredible that Shagrath was the back up singer. My original post merely mentioned that BEFORE this video he was the drummer, and you failed to realize this. But I'm assuming that english isn't your first language, so I will let this slide.
god damn it you kiddies are lost in translation or just simple human understanding i will delete all the comments of yours if you continue this crap -.-
Not entirely true, the lyrics on "Over Bleknede Blåner Til Dommedag" are sung by Aldrahn. It was also Aldrahn that wrote the lyrics to this song (stormblåst).
Shortly before Jens Petter joined and Shagrath moved on to vocals only. One of Nagash frist gigs as well? Or is it Brynjard still? I think Jens Petter only lasted a few months and appeared in some promo pictures. Bald guy w. odd corpsepaint. They had him wear a cloak in one of the pics I recall.
Jens was live guitars until the arrival of Astennu for the 1997 tour and recording. In this video its Nagash on bass (he has distinctive corpse paint and you can see it in promo pics that show both Nagash and Jens Petter)
@Silenoz1991 thats wat sucks, i like dimmu, but i hate that they are soo ''hollywood" for lack of a better term...i prefer the anonymity of Vindsval from Blut aus Nord or DSO, downside is youll never see them perform live...which fuckin sucks.
It's a shame they don't play these songs live anymore :(
Old Dimmu = The best Dimmu
1996- StormBlast. Silenoz sigging *-* this is rare.
The Stian Aarstad's piano part at the end it sounds perfect! he was a good keyboardist.

yes, shagrath did kinda backings on FAT album, he just did the high screams, but all lyrics that were spoken or "sung" did silenoz.
Thank you dude! it was excellent... and it was an excellent dimmu borgir line up... thank you
exelente tema se extraña ese dimmu borgir...aquellos años!!!!....
Probably one of the best Stormblasts.
Back when Dimmu Borgir WAS Dimmu Borgir.
Bands can evolve.People like different stuff. I like both the old and the "new"
Me too , this era was the best!
Silenoz mainly did the vocals, Shagrath did the backing voc
@SilverTounge85 the guest was Aldrahn, the guy which sang on Over Bleknede...
the setlist was:
Stormblast
Over Bleknede Blaner Til Dommedag *with Aldrahn*
Da Den Kristne Satte Livet Til
Alt Lys Er Svunnet Hen
Nar Sjelen Hentes Til Helvete
Guds Fortapelse - Apenbaring av Dommedag *with Aldrahn*
Vinder Fra En Ensom Grav *with Aldrahn again :P*

Excellent Thanx pure Black Metal
Silenoz has hellish vocals ❤

Awesome. Hail Dimmu Borgir.
***** If you think that was something, in For All Tid Shagrath was the drummer.

live in Oslo 1996

Nagash is a talented musician
That should be a hymn of Dimmu. Stormblast or Puritania.
i like how stian aarstad plays this song live more than mustis, the melodies are better
I though shagrath was the lead singers even on those days :S i read that Silenoz made lead vocals on for all tid..is that true???
Nagash
ah ok...thx for the help^^
grande TRISTAN
W0rst crowd ever :p
can we turn the keys down a little bit?
whos singing ?
Silenoz sang almost all the old songs.
silenoz as a vocal is much better than shagrath
They are in fact equals.
Hell yea he’s the better vocalist
