AHHH! My Grandma collected post cards, and I'm going to scan them to use for the images! My Mom and sisters are going to freak out when they get one of these pillows for Christmas!
You can also iron your white cotton to the shiny side of freezer paper and it will stick without spray adhesive. Peels right off. Make lattice borders around central focals to make larger pillows. Cute project Mark. Would make cute door knob pillows too!
I had forgotten about doing this! I bought the supplies a few years ago but got busy with other projects. Think it's time to go through my supplies and see what else I've got hidden😁 Thanks for sharing! I love the postcard idea!!
Absolutely love these! I have a long time love of postcards. These will look adorable out on the patio. As always Mark your projects are great and you are a sweetie. TFS!
Sooooo many! I've been struggling with solder for weeks now. Trying to learn how to make it properly and I just can't seem to get it right. Still, I persist because I want to share it with everyone when I finally make something worthy of my sweet UA-cam club!
I didn't know that there's printable fabric sheets! I so need to get me some of those because now I am thinking of the endless possibilities. They would be a great thing to make and sell. Cool! 👍👍👍😘
James Dean!! My childhood crush!😍 Everyone else was crushing on boy bands and here I am in love with James Dean, David Bowie, Humphrey Bogart, and Frank Sinatra.😂 Anywho, this project is awesome! Definitely gonna try it! Thanks Mark!
Mark! I love it! Did I mention that I LOVE IT? Wow! I believe that what you've taught us is going to springboard throughout the entire craft industry and the potential applications are immense. Another WOW! Thanks to you and Julie! Jackie
You can also iron fabric to the shiny side of freezer paper cut down to the size of your printer and run that through. It saves the step of dealing with spray adhesive. The paper will just pull right off the freezer paper when you are done printing.
These are awesome! I have a lot of vintage post card images from beach/shore resorts areas that would work in my beach themed basement! Could you collage a grouping of pictures together to make a larger pillow?
In case noone said it I love it. I would like a little larger pillow, guess I can sew it onto a larger piece of fabric or use fabric glue. That is so neat. Tyfs Mark. You're just full of great ideas. Mary
Yup, you can print it out in 4 pieces and stitch them together or put 4 postcards together (that would be fun)! Or you could put a boarder around it in a matching fabric. That might be fun, too.
Hello Mark i was reading your biography in Wikipedia and you really are a Master....WoW...And like always your awesome...Im not good writing in English but i tried...
Love this! Would it be easy to take this idea and maybe add a zipper and possibly make the inside cleanable to make a bag? Like a bag for makeup or a pencil bag? And if so what type of product would you recommend using?
This is so awesome, and great that images can be printed on fabric, I love that they are small like postcards are, what a great and vintage style pillow! Another great idea Mark! than you for sharing, I'm going through my copy that I just received of "The Big-Ass Book of Home Decor"!
Awesome idea - did not know i could print on fabric at home. How does the image wear on the fabric? Does it fade easily or peel off with use? Could I use this technique for squares for a quilt?
Hello Mark, love this idea. Thank you!!! Can you tell me more about the Minwax lacquer? This product is not available in Germany and I would have to replace it...
Is the lacquer you used the kind for wood? Or is it a special kind for fabric? Also the acrylic spray you mentioned in the end is it the kind for wood also? Thank you.
Such a cool project Mark, but I have to ask, are these machine washable? Do you have to heat set the ink before sealing it with the lacquer? Thanks for another fun project.
hi mark! liked y proyect as all y do. congratulations. some questions to you: are these pillows washable? - are they 8.5x11/14. ? - how l transfer my name as a signature to a t.shirt? thks
It depends on what kind of ink you have in your printer. If you have pigment ink then it should stick. Dye inks will wash right out. Here is a great article about it : www.gloriahansen.com/weblog/?p=6060

Terrific suggestion Diane! I'll give it a try.

I made my own Jess! You don't need printable fabric sheets.
Can these pillows be washed?
EdABrass
Good question! I would probably steam clean, but obviously that wouldn't be feasable for everybody.
Absolutely Awesome! Mark.... Thank you! for sharing
You got it Connie!
As always AWESOME IDEA THANK YOU for SHARING LOVE LOVE LOVE

You can also iron fabric to the shiny side of freezer paper cut down to the size of your printer and run that through. It saves the step of dealing with spray adhesive. The paper will just pull right off the freezer paper when you are done printing.
For some reason my freezer paper didn't stick properly. I found the spray adhesive worked better for me.
So pretty! Love the old theme. Adds such a sophisticated touch! :)

Hey Helen! I'm now officially obsessed with printing fabric on my home computer. It's becoming a THING.
Hello Mark i was reading your biography in Wikipedia and you really are a Master....WoW...And like always your awesome...Im not good writing in English but i tried...
I've been at it for a while now! Big hugs from Los Angeles!
Who else looked at these beautiful pieces and thought clutch bags 😍
Lots of people suggested adding zippers to them. I think I just might!
OMGoodness this was so cool!!!! Thanks
Any time!
Love this! Would it be easy to take this idea and maybe add a zipper and possibly make the inside cleanable to make a bag? Like a bag for makeup or a pencil bag? And if so what type of product would you recommend using?
I haven't really washed mine. You would have to experiment with different lacquers and see what makes them washable.
Thanks so much!! I love it.
You got it!
This is so awesome, and great that images can be printed on fabric, I love that they are small like postcards are, what a great and vintage style pillow! Another great idea Mark! than you for sharing, I'm going through my copy that I just received of "The Big-Ass Book of Home Decor"!
Have fun Holly! Great to hear from you today!

Yes, indeed!
💎XO🌹XO💘XO💜XO💎
Awesome idea - did not know i could print on fabric at home. How does the image wear on the fabric? Does it fade easily or peel off with use? Could I use this technique for squares for a quilt?
All good questions. If you figure any of them out, please let me know!
Amazing! ! Where can you find post cards and vintage images like that? I love old vintage art (like the corset one) but can never find any!
Just google Vintage Postcards. You'll find a ton to choose from. Make sure they are large files and drag them to your desktop.
Hello Mark, love this idea. Thank you!!! Can you tell me more about the Minwax lacquer? This product is not available in Germany and I would have to replace it...
Not sure if they sell it in Germany but I think almost any spray lacquer would work as long as it's clear.
Beautiful 👏👍💖love it yr the Best👍👍👍
Hi Carmen!
Mark Montano Hi hope you are doing good I love all your Projects 👍👍💖💖💖😘
Because you're sealing the designs with laquer, can you wash/spot clean them?
You could print on fabric and then sew it on the side of a tote bag!
Love the tote bag idea! I think you could press them, then seal them on both sides and they would be spot cleanable. I haven't tried it yet.
Bjr mark vous avez toujour des magnifiques idee superbe 💜💜💜💜👍☝☝👍
Merci Christine!
Way cool!!!!!😎👍
Thanks Yvonne!
Ok, how do you come up with such cool stuff! 😃😍👌🏽
I use a lot of spray paint and industrial glue.......
Oh god.... this takes the cake
DO NOT TAKE MY CAKE! I can't even tell you what's happened to people who've eyed my cake! ;)
GENIUS....I can't even...*Squeeeeee!!!*
I'm going crazy with the technique, too!
Mark Montano the possum-bilities are endless!! 😉
Hello mark ji
Amazing idea so beautiful !
Thanks Priti!
Love it
Thank you!
what a great idea..
Thanks Henry!
Is the lacquer you used the kind for wood? Or is it a special kind for fabric? Also the acrylic spray you mentioned in the end is it the kind for wood also? Thank you.
Most lacquers are just clear acrylic coatings and can be used for anything you want to protect.
Such a cool project Mark, but I have to ask, are these machine washable? Do you have to heat set the ink before sealing it with the lacquer? Thanks for another fun project.
Hey Cheryl, haven't washed them yet....sooooooooo if you try this project and have some answers to these questions, I'd love to hear them!
Genial!!!!!.....una idea fantastica
Hola Mar!
Sssssooo...I can do the same thing with my grandchildren drawing! but, Shhhh ; it's a surprise! thank you Mark!!! :o)
Awesome idea Francine!
hi mark! liked y proyect as all y do. congratulations. some questions to you: are these pillows washable? - are they 8.5x11/14. ? - how l transfer my name as a signature to a t.shirt? thks
Not exactly sure if they're washable. I think if you set the ink with an iron AND seal them on both sides with a lacquer you should be fine.
It depends on what kind of ink you have in your printer. If you have pigment ink then it should stick. Dye inks will wash right out.
Here is a great article about it :
