    This video features one of the best concert grands in the world! Now, I know what you're thinking: "This isn't a concert grand, it's 7 feet! Concert grands are 9 feet!" That is true, but this is such a good 7-foot piano that I'd confidently put it up against any concert grand made today, and chances are, the competition would be tight. Fazioli pianos are always powerful, rich sounding, and have a flawless action that never ceases to amaze me. I love this piano, and I hope you do too!

    I'm a guitarist but have always loved the sound of a well-played grand piano. Both my mom and grandmother played so I grew up around pianos. You, my friend, make this wonderful piano shine. Fazioli should hire you to demo their pianos!! 😉

      ThePianoforever I play guitar , and Im thrilled she is rekindling her interest in piano .. thats why Im quick to support her interest by shopping for a good quality keyboard. Anxiously awaiting yr head to head of the Yamaha P125 and the Kawai ES110 ., both seem like excellent for her at this point .. Im excited to try my first ever time sitting at a keyboard.. Im sure it will help my guitar playing . Tnx again for your playing 👏👍

      I don't generally like to say as it can change from time to time, but I think you can almost always rule out Steinway as of late. I would trade my 1995 (one of the better years) Steinway D for this piano in a flash.

    Dear James,
    thanks so much for the work you do; it's always so nice to hear and see so many different pianos from a different perspective.
    It seems that you quoted some issues with steinways especially with the post 90's ones, and if I am not wrong this is not the only video where it happened. Could you be able to explain further? I guess it could be hard to make a video about it, but you know.. this should be a hot topic and many people will be probably interested in hearing your point of view.
    Thanks and take care.

      @@ThePianoforever Got it. Jose Benito Martinez Jr. asked the same question as mine. You can check out James' response to that comment.
      I am curious, James, as to why you preferred the Yamaha SX series grands to Yamaha's CF series. The CF grands are more expensive and are entirely handmade. Can you explain your preference for the cheaper series?

    • @ThePianoforever
      @ThePianoforever  4 роки тому

      Judson Musick, I have not had a lot of experience with the small models of the CF line, they seem rather rare here in the States. I have, however, found several SX pianos including an S3X which I absolutely loved. The SX line uses the same type soundboard and ribs as the CFX, so these are by no means a low quality piano.

      @@ThePianoforever I'm just barely past Chopsticks, but being cursed with perfect pitch, I appreciate a well-tuned and voiced instrument.
      Fazioli pianos can, indeed have a warmer upper mid-range than newer Steinways. It's just plain a matter of taste by the master in this level of artistry, as James said in the video.

      @@ThePianoforever that's a good point. Spanish pop, English pop, rock & ballads. Plus some Dansón, Rumba, Cha, Cha, Cha! An upright for sure! What are your current top 3 baby or grand piano and uprights?

    • @ThePianoforever
      @ThePianoforever  4 роки тому +3

      In no order: Yamaha S3X or any in the SX line, Fazioli 183, 212, 228, and C. Bechstein Concert A192. For the upright category Bosendorfer 130, Steingraeber 130 and C. Bechstein 130. When comparing upright pianos, larger is always better. I would start here for your search and you will find many, if not all, on my channel.
