They were both so broken they fit together almost perfectly. This is my favorite ship in the entire series.
These two had so much potential. Their relationship outshined Damon and Elena's for me. He never smiled/laughed with anyone (including on the Originals) the way he did with Caroline.

Can we please talk about how Niklaus Mikaelson was the prefect man for Caroline Forbes? Okay yes I understand Klaus killed Jenna, Carol, and the 12 hybrids, which was Hayley's fault. However, Klaus was obviously in love with Caroline without actually having to tell her because he constantly put her first, instead of killing Tyler for kidnapping Hayley while she was pregnant he let him go. Another reason why I feel like Klaus loved her was because of Stefan he didn't have to help Stefan escape Rayna Cruz but he did because he knew that Caroline would never love him if he let Stefan die. I have a question how do you guys feel about the Hayley being pregnant storyline? I honestly I have been reading Klaroline fanfictions and Caroline is pregnant with Hope instead and I freaking love them, and it makes me wish that it was Caroline instead and not Hayley. I know that I will get good and bad replies under my comment.

I never minded the Hayley pregnancy storyline because it was obvious early on that they wouldn't be paired. I like the idea of them going from strangers to allies to friends to family. They both loved their daughter and prioritized her above all and even their love interests understood they would always be involved in each other's lives because of their daughter. It was refreshing to see that play out without have the 'will they won't they'. One of the things I don't like about FFs is that they tend to make Hayley the bad guy when really they could have all considered together Klaroline and Haylijah.
She deserved to be happy with Klaus at the end.
She sure did.
You see, I came with a way how everything would work.
Klaus at the end of TO would have all the darkness in him, be daggered by the one Davina made, and a subplot of Legacies would be finding a way to bring him back. This would put Klaus out of commission, and Caroline, in addition to searching for a cure for Josie and Lizzie, would be searching for how to remove the magic from Klaus, and would relay this information to Hope (off screen of course).
In the meanwhile, Elijah would stay alive to look after Hope due to Klaus’s request, and would die after Klaus returns in order for him to finally join Hayley (we wouldn’t see too much of Elijah if any, but we would know that he talks and checks in with Hope).
When everyone gets their memories of Hope back, both Elijah and Freya go to see Hope. Elijah wouldn’t have died after losing his memories of Hope because she told him what she was going to do, (like she told Alaric), but instead of all her information getting burned by Ric, Elijah took all of it for safekeeping to remind himself of her (he knocks Ric out to get it), as he’s already been through the whole memory erasing ordeal before.
He would be in s2 a bit more, discussing that Hope has been erased and how to get her back. This is especially important to Elijah because he forgot Hope’s mother, and he wouldn’t be forgetting her daughter. This would change and speed up the whole “returning of memory” process, and Hope would know that at least Elijah and Freya were working on undoing what happened with Malivore.
