I came here because of Assassin's Creed Odyssey lol. I visited the Tomb in the game and now I am looking forward to seeing videos like this one! Man, such an eerie and beautiful place! I wish I could visit it one day!

The underground structure clearly shows beautiful megalithic stonework preserved, while the exposed castle is eroded from perhaps 100 thousand years of exposure. Agamemnon could not have built this. To support such a large community the climate, rainfall etc. must have been very different. Truth is we know nothing of the ancient past.

The weather difference you mention probably coincides with a green wet Sahara and Saudi Arabian peninsula as well. In the times of the megalithic builders there must have been large prosperous populations in the entire region of the old world.

We know who the Mycenaens were, they were Indo-European people who came in about 1600-1700 BC bringing pre-Greek language, chariots and horses, along with a patriarchal martial culture. We're not guessing, it's all connected to other migrations, archaeological sites, language, it spreads across Europe and we can date organic elements of it. So it's more like you know nothing of the ancient past, John.
If you can't understand how something is done, assigning it to some improbable supernatural or unknown source is just what people used to do before they had science. The fact is people can build these structures out of megalithic stone, and we have proved it by cutting and placing stone blocks of that and larger size in modern times, using only tools available to them such as wood, stone tools, rope, though of course the Mycenaeans had bronze tools.
It was somewhat wetter and better for crops before about 1100 BC, and you give people little credit. If you're going to speculate 100,000 years, why not just say Superman from the comic books popped into existence, created it personally, then left forever. It's got as much evidence. Maybe Ren and Stimpy built it? Again, as much evidence. Scholars just do their best, and their techniques and knowledge far eclipse yours.
Why don't you go become an archaeologist and/or anthropologist and excavate these sites yourself, then see if you have the same lack-of-evidence opinions?

@@Sinsteel Long explanation doesn't prove anything, just your opinion pretending to be a fact.

@@johnburman966 Nah, it's not just my opinion, it's the opinion of most people who dedicate their lives to uncovering the truth in this area. It's mainstream scholarship, libraries full of it, thousands of digs, it's also carbon 14 dating, so if you want to seriously debunk all of that with wild new theories...you're going need some evidence mate, or are you suggesting some sort of academic conspiracy theory lasting centuries, and then roping in the scientific community, all to suppress the truth?

@@Sinsteel look up the trilithon of baalbek or the stone of the pregnant woman. nobody can explain it, nor could we repeat this in modern times. and to be clear, i am not saying some superman or ancient aliens built it, we humands did. but john is correct in saying that there are white dots in our past noone knows anything about. but there they are, stones so big we can not understand it. and the older they are, the more sophisticated the stonework is.
it all comes down to the end of the last ice age 12.000 years ago, when a great cataclysm happened on a global scale, with sea levels rising more that 130 meters around the globe in a matter of days or weeks, ending a very advanced human high civilization which left traces all over the planet.
