@@mortynator I am on 5 playlists since Jan 23rd. It was low daily streams at the start (single to almost double digits for each). I am still on these lists but it basically fell off a cliff after February and I am lucky to get 1 to 2 streams out of any of them. I am at about 475-ish total for all playlists.
I actually spoke about this a while ago in an interview with Andrew Southworth. I made a music video and paid for some google ads as prerolls on youtube. I submitted the video to tons of different "listening to your music" streams. I ran some facebook ads and actually had lots of Instagram traffic coming from my youtube at the time so that was doing well. But at the time, I was also very ignorant and worked with a fake playlisting company as I thought they were legit (recommended to me by a friend). They put me on a bunch of their playlists in exchange for my graphic design work. Safe to say I got lucky because they actually had lots of popular artists that were similar to me on those playlists so I got a pre-existing audience associated with my song. Discover weekly was easier in 2020, so I got on there and its been going legit ever since. Now I simply let the algorithm do it's thing, and continue to put it into Discovery Mode. It's not the way to go, super risky and although it worked for me, I wish I knew what I do now.
@@MMXVII ah man I see! Thanks for sharing! Yea right now I’m workin toward being able to use discovery mode haha, how can I grow so I can reach a point where I can use discovery mode?
@@johnnye_music I've got a lot of videos in a playlist on my channel for marketing music. I really recommend proper release strats with tons of social media content, fb ad campaigns and building your community

Can you please make a video about what you did/ strategy you used to get 2million streams on Woke up!

This is not the first such review about them. It pays to be careful. Your account as an artist may also suffer.
you have a link for me bro?
