I@@pupetaksapann5527I did just missed that part. That's why I was surprised it wasn't included but it was. Thanks actually for pointing it out. I should actually re-watch it.
@@pupetaksapann5527I'm actually rewatching it now and it goes so fast but should be required in highschool social studies. I'm 54 but they haven't built anything new that matters in 500 years. So it's up to date. Tell me anything in the last 500 years and I'll let you know?
Would have been great to have included the Great Pyramid of Ur, Potala Palace, Pyramid of the Sun (Teotihuacan), Great Temple at Petra, Golden Temple of Amritsar, Temple of Heaven, Wat Phra Keow, Wailing Wall, Lahore Mosque, Imam Reza Shrine, St Basil's Cathedral, Cologne Cathedral, Chartres Cathedral, Sri Raganathaswamy Temple, and Steve Job's garage.
😅No doubt..they spend way too long speculating, than cutting pics of som of where u mention, but never returning to Sumer, Cambodia, Steve jobs garage 😂
Not gonna lie, it kinda irks me whenever some people claim Stonehenge was built by Druids. It wasn't. Modern consensus holds that it was built by Anatolian Neolithic Farmers (ANF), who arrived in England from the Mediterranean long before any Celtic people. The Anatolians would've resembled modern Italians or Near Easterners, not modern Irish or Scottish people.
10:14 Slight nitpick here; it's redundant to say "only the Pharoah and high ranking priests..." Simply because the Pharoah was the *highest* ranked priest in all of Egypt by default. So, yes, the Pharoah was allowed wherever high ranking priests were allowed because they were the highest ranked priest. Wpuld have been more accurate, and less redundant to say, "Only the highest ranking priests..."
Only Christianity has its God raised from the dead!!! John 20:1-10 hn 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. Jhn 20:2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. Jhn 20:3 Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. Jhn 20:4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. Jhn 20:5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. Jhn 20:6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, Jhn 20:7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. Jhn 20:8 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. Jhn 20:9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Jhn 20:10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
What if we were to build a sacred city to honor ourselves. Humanities achievements and our new place in the world because of them. A city with the concept of mental health for the global populace as the main design concept. The Niagara Falls area for the Global Tristate, H.E.M.I., Day1 and Education Revival. A city as the place where we use our new mindset. Make me your Premiere leader. We will improve quality of life around the world.
I just realized there's alot packed into this documentary. I should re-watch it.

Wonderful to see & learn about these structures!

They did briefly mention the Wailing Wall and Cologne Cathedral But I agree on all your other points

Nice and thank you PBS for this series 🙏🏾.
PS: 1st 😉
720p doesn't really show the detail of these buildings.
Great documentary. I wish the narrator had taken care to pronounce the "kaa'ba" correctly. It's not kabbaa, it's kaa'ba.
Allow subtitles, even auto subs, please.
No mention of Bodh Gaya.

Namaste
Varanasi is not the spiritual capital of India. India is a secular republic. A majority of Indians are Hindu - Varanasi is their spiritual capital.
I think you are splitting linguistic hairs. It’s a figure of speech intended to streamline what you laid out in such fine detail.
India is Hindu, Hindu is India. You can't separate them. Secular is just the rule of law of country.
Damn 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 nice documentary
0:08-52:00 yeah right
That's crazy. nothing should cost 100 billion dollars.
Stonehenge is a ruin of a magnificent sacred building!
4:02 radhan like radhan from elden ring?

Build it
You don't have to be religious to appreciate architecture
With all respects, nobody goes to Istanbul to see the blue mosque. The go to see Agia Soflia, mainly.
5:18 Not true lol. Stonhenge was built thousands of years before druids were a thing.

I can’t comprehend people worshipping things made with hands?? These idols cannot see, hear, think, breath, laugh, cry, move, well you get the idea!!

Poorly presented - recycled errors.
"Appeal of the sacred" being an euphemism of willingness to be lied to and sheepishly follow liars.
stone henge looks fake, like put there by machines
Everything built before 1900 looks fake to modern people. I'd say humans where actually smarter and more determined in the past.
