- Pat Cooper Interview 10 October 1997 Part 1. Interviewed by Carole Langer, videographed by Luke Sacher, in Mr. Cooper's suite at the Sands Atlantic City on October 10, 1997. The one, the only! He's a total laugh riot- talking unabashedly about Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, Old Las Vegas, the night club circuit, and the dozens of great entertainers that he's known over the past 65 years.

Oh my !.... That was wonderful...like listening to my cousin Tony go on and on non stop and making you pee your pants with his free range observations and comments. I remember Pat Cooper from the old days...Ed Sullivan Show ? ...but I had no idea how funny he was. ...and it was good to hear some realistic comments about Jerry Lewis and his ego. You guys have done a really great job in documenting a time gone by. I look forwaward to your interviews...so pleas keep them coming.

I have to question the interviewers statement @23.47 that Sonny King claimed that he gave away Dean Martins daughters at their weddings because "Dean never made it to the weddings" There are photographs of Dean at their weddings on the Internet, and Deana says in her book that Dean gave her away at her first wedding and the only reason he didn't do so at her second marriage was because he was in hospital at the time so she had her son from her first marriage walk her down the aisle. Even then Dean apparently checked himself out of the hospital , against his doctors advice, just long enough to attend the ceremony and for the photographs before returning to the hospital to continue his treatment.
Luke, WOW!!!! I think I have to take a Prozac! Pat speaks the truth here. I think he was almost close to telling the real story about how Sammy lost his eye...not a car crash, but all about Frank and Kim Novack.
Pallie- AHAHA! Pat Cooper, aka "Mr. Prozac"? Indeed... Sammy's mom told us in private that Harry Cohn threatened Sammy that he'd have him buried out in the atomic test range if he didn't quit Kimbo PDQ... :)

People fade their fame fades and a new generation of comics and entertainers come in. It happens in every generation. People like pat watch old VHS reruns when He was on top. He relives the moments while the rest of the world moves on...That's how fame works. You have to move on too
Definitely manic and angry, ... and (sometimes) very funny. Never boring.
You think so huh? I like him a lot, but I would bet you any of us would piss him off eventually in a relationship hahaha! Incredibly entertaining. He was with this chef David Ruggerio visiting Little Italy. Check that out. You got to see him being nothing but entertaining full round, that great positive energy. I wish everything was filmed cuz there must have been a lot of great stuff. Video is "Legend Pat Cooper is bleeped!"
