Hi stripey... great video and ramble, got to say madness are in my top ten bands, great band live , seen them live a couple of times at Doncaster live after the racing at the racecoarse... great experience...got most of there vinyl and the latest being full house 4 lp set in a beautiful pop out gate fold...brilliant....cheers Alan.
Hi Stripey. Again a nice video. In the 80ties whenMadness started, I didn't like the that much.But last year I saw an article about The Liberty Of Norton Folgate. It said that this album wasn't the real Madness sound, but that it was a great album. After a good search I could download it and yes indeed...it is magical. A few weeks later I could buy the box set Norton Folgate for a very reasonable price at Ebay. In it is the LP version, the 2 cd version and some rehearsals. Later on I bought 2 greatest hits cd sets with a lot of their videos. And now I cannot understand why I didn't like them in 1979-1980 and so on. It is such a happy music. Especially when it is sunny weather, it makes you happy.

Enjoyable video.I always viewed Madness as a good fun band.Recently someone recommended "The Liberty"which blew me away and totally changed my opinion as to their importance as a band.The live show of Liberty was a revelation.
I bought my first album recently because of Beatle Brad. Thanks for going in detail about this group. I had the 45 of Our House from back in the day but now I'm ready to move on to more albums. My first one is Keep Moving 😎

I've always been mostly a 60s/Beatles fan but I really love Madness. I didn't take much notice of madness from 79 onwards but now I love them. Despite their popularity, I think they should have been even bigger. Nobody was writing better songs than Madness in the 80s. A lot of their songwriting is on par with people like Ray Davies. It shocks me that I didn't realise just how talented they were at the time. Rise and Fall is a masterpiece of an album.
Great video stripes- I’m gonna guess were roughly the same age: I fell in love with the band with the complete madness album. Madness are the kinks or s all faces a brilliant bunch of Sinhalese- gunning if your ember Stiff placing a full page ad saying “and about bloody timer when house of fun hit no1 I saw them at mad stock and tyey were awesome- check out the commebry on Devine madness when bardo points ou al the oroblems “no backneat” on the singles they did when he left,it’s hilarious, again great bloody video

Ive lot load of madness vinyl. Treasured items are the hot biscuit promo with a different mix of dont quote me on that, the 2 whats that picture discs (they fit together like a jigsaw) and ghost train square picture disk. Some band. Get collecting my man! Loads of good stuff out there

A lot of the Cd and LP are hard to get in the US must you know me I do sniff them out . Wow look at you seeing them live > WOW < I would love that a lot . They did come over here for some live dats but most were in LA and as for me that is on the other side of it all for me and that is by plane lol . The one lp that you did show that you got on your birthday I love a lot !!!! I do have the other lp and cd that you did show . But I did smile throughout this hole video :}. O I do love all of the other stuff that you have the clock wild !!! I do wish that they did better over here so I can find more Madness . This video was how you say just smashing mate :}.
