You know how people complain about modern music all the time and how only old music is good?
I always say if you can't find good current music you're not looking hard enough. This is PHENOMENAL, and it's not just a current band doing an old genre. It's an old genre made new again and, in my opinion, made BETTER. It's amazing to see how music evolves with all the new tools we have to go wild and experiment and do crazy fun dance-worthy stuff.
I just love Caravan Palace, man.

Studying Audiovisual elements at university and stumbled upon a text in a book about liveness:
"Liveness of Spontaneity - The realization that a performer’s skill level does indeed measure up to the challenge posed by a particular composition, or to a level of improvisation expected by a demanding fan base, is what elicits excitement from the audience". It instantly reminded me of this amazing performance.

    Rock It For Me
    Caravan Palace
    LYRICS
All the "bad boys" want some brawl, it's tricky
And girls enjoy, they feel so lucky
Laughing at weeds running out the door,
Calling their mom when they lick the floor
(Look how) Those funky monkeys talk and walk in store
They're lost, sad and brawny like an apple core
Who can believe that there will be some gore
With those wimps like I said before
    It ain't right, babe, no
    It ain't right, no no
Mama, don't do that you know
It ain't right, yeah, boy boy.
    It ain't right, babe, no
    It ain't right, no no
Mama, don't do that you know
It ain't right, yeah, boy boy.
"Bad boys" are not so picky
They ride away and feel so happy
To fight for girls they do adore
Snorting like boars rolling on the floor
With their leather jacket and their rocky voice
They hit, fight, kick, wreak havoc and rejoice
Nobody knows what they are looking for
A kind of battle axe or maybe more
    It ain't right, babe, no
    It ain't right, no no
Mama, don't do that you know
It ain't right, yeah, boy boy.
    It ain't right, babe, no
    It ain't right, no no
Mama, don't do that you know
It ain't right, yeah, boy boy.
When a bad boy tramp sounds, its' freaky
Cause you're afraid, remember he's lanky
Don't rate him even he gets sore
Cross the river and roam the shore
    It ain't right, babe, no
    It ain't right, no no
Mama, don't do that you know
It ain't right, yeah, boy boy.
    It ain't right, babe, no
    It ain't right, no no

@@retrocognify How? I hear "Knock me down" or "calm it down" or "calm me down" or "calm down" or "come down" If you look at her mouth, she is not saying boy boy, because there's a "Ca" sound showing on her face at 1:56, then a "M" sound, then you can see a "dow" at 1:57, then right after she pouts her lips for an "un" sound "Also, poetically it would make more sense because "calm down" works better for the flow. Do the same thing I did to prove she's saying "boy boy" if you really think so. Just saying "Genius says boy boy" does not count. Why? you ask: Genius has been wrong like this before.
