Yes i think the comparison with New York is close enough, London is a very expensive city and that's why most of the time young adults share house until they have an actual career that generates enough money to live solo. Also about the ending i do think he actually forgot his wallet because of being distracted from obsessively listening to Marthas voice mail. What i think the ending meant is that Donny realizes that giving Martha the free cup of tea wasnt the catalyst for the stalking, what he did was a very normal act of kindness.
i laughed out loud when she showed Gadd her contact list and it had "Tony Blair" on it and a bunch of other MPs -- and I think they were listed randomly... it would be like me showing someone my contact list and it said "Hillary Clinton; Barack Obama; Michelle Obama.." lol
Yes, there was a framed degree. I saw it as well. However, Fiona Muir-Harvey ("Martha" in the show) is not a practicing solicitor (attorney), from what I've heard from people over in the UK. They have something kind of like our US/state "bar" over there. ("Law society.") You can earn/have a degree, but until you're on that register, you can't tell people you're practicing.
She told the guy from The Daily Mail that she was opening her own firm for musicians only and it would be located on Abbey Road... LOL!! She doesn't tell small lies... she swings for the fences!

They didn't specify whether or not Terri had bottom surgery or not. I think part of why sex with Terri was difficult is simply because he was still traumatized by the rape. He never told her about it and she (unaware of his trauma) assumed it was because of her gender. If he had gotten therapy sooner, or at least been honest with her about it, there would have been more hope for their relationship.

Yes she had a law degree. Also she worked as a lawyer until she was fired for harassment.
He lived here in London and yes it is expensive just like in New York.
