Thank you!! It was nice to find some variety and get out to a spot I haven't been to in a while, I'll be going back there again soon to explore further into the woods🙂
I was pretty surprised to find that black tourmaline, maybe I'll find some whole crystals next time. Those garnets were definitely worth the trip alone🙂
for sure!! I love the rainy weather we get here, it was like 30+ degrees for a few days here but we only got a high of 17 today. I hope to explore that area for more crystals very soon🙂
You had a great day rockhounding! Beautiful garnets, tourmaline and feldspar! I will need to look at exposed rock areas in my area a lot closer to see if there are any nice rocks waiting to be found.
This was such an awesome video buddy, you have some amazing hounding grounds. Those biotite plates and the terminated feldspar was super cool stuff and seeing the garnets made me want to explore a place Ive heard of around here. Great vid man and talk with ya soon!
for sure!! garnets are my favorite mineral just because there can be so much variety, so far I've only found two varieties but there's a few others that have been found here in BC.
Thank you!! Haha, yea gloves would probably be a good idea. I'll have to see what I can find around here, It'd be nice to find some thin ones so I can still have some dexterity🙂
@@NWRockExplorer I found good ones on amazon that are amazing. I use them every time I go rockhounding, especially when it's cold or rainy. The store name is a bit weird, but they are really good gloves. And I have another link too for ones my husband got that he likes. @@thatmeanpersononlineoffend9376 Thanks!! I think I'm going to try and check the stores around here but if I can't find anything I'll probably try buying online, those gloves look really nice for the rainy and cold days.
I'll have to try that out sometime, thanks for the tip!! At the moment I just use a soft bristle brush and some soap but it would be nice to get into some deeper crevices🙂
You never know what you'll come across if you look. There can be some amazing finds in the strangest spots and in the places people would least expect, have fun out there😃
I think I'm going to keep these ones but in the future I hope to sell some of the gems I find. I'll probably make a video when the time comes but for now I might just do some giveaways🙂
the crystals that are attached to matrix can be quite hard to extract. The best thing you can do is make sure the shock from the chisel doesn't reach the base of the crystal. I can't wait to go back to this spot to see what else I can find😃
For sure!! a good pair of gloves and a flat head screwdriver works well. I honestly wasn't expecting to find any quartz crystals there so I'll have to bring some better tools now that I know🙂
Great finds again! U have a fantastic way of adding perfect 🎶with mood of hunt. Garnets super as well as variety of crystals. Thanks 🙏

Nice finds my friend!!
Nice video!!
Thank you for another amazing relaxing video. The two lil garnets and the quartz crystal cluster were my faves of all your great finds.

Those garnets are so sweet. The facets are awesome. Show those wicked coastal mountains more, I love that cloud shrouded look.

@@NWRockExplorer Oh man! I wish. It was 44 here today
Cool finds those smaller garnets have a killer luster to them, I love that scenery as well!
I can't wait to go back to see what I can find. There's lots of land in the area to explore so who knows what else could be out there. 😃
@@NWRockExplorer I hope you do, I love to see more of what you collect and the scenery as well.
Nice finds today 👍

It was a pretty great day!! I can't wait to go back and look for more pegmatites. There's gotta be some bigger crystals on that mountain somewhere!!😃
It’s just going to take time and sweat to find them. I hope you do find them!

Dental picks and mechanics O-ring pullers work well for cleaning around crystals.

Small strong magnet on a string for retrieving your lost chisel.
@@danielbarrows7144 Yea I was thinking about that, it's a good idea but the chisel went way deep into a crevice, I'll probably still try it though.
Nice pegmatites! Too bad the garnets are so encased in the host rock. Such a beautiful area up there...
I'm hoping someday to find some gem quality garnets!! For now these ones are still a blast to find!!
Oh and a grout brush works great for what you were doing in this vid and are really lightweight/cheap; plastic, stiff bristle.
Later buddy 😀
This is awesome! You make me want to go to my closest boulders with a hammer and start looking for shiny rocks !

Nice video 💫
Thank you!! It was fun making it🙂
Nice video. I really liked the Almandine Garnet.
Thanks!! My favorites would be the garnet and the tourmaline, hopefully I can go back there soon to find some more😃
Using a flathead screw driver doesn't do ad much damage if any when searching. Friendly suggestion...
For sure!! I forgot my flathead at home so i decided to just try it with a Philips. A flathead definitely does a better job😅
Are you planning on selling any of these, or are you keeping them all for your collection? I'd love to buy some to polish up!

Good digging ,,...I know the feeling, found some good spots to explore since moving, just haven’t had the time to go out much

What area are you in? And what state?
BC Canada
you need some real picking tools you gonna rub your finger raw.!
