Nico Maffey is the 2015 Men's Silks U.S. Aerial Champion, a title he won on February 6, 2015 in New York City.
Nico Maffey has competed nationally and internationally as a member of Argentina’s National Gymnastics team. He trained as an aerialist and hand-balancer in the professional program of the National Circus School of Argentina. Nico has performed in several musicals, corporate events and a number of dance, circus and television shows. In 2006, the Argentinean Ministry of Culture recognized him with the Promising Young Talent award, and in 2007 he received the Artistic Excellence Award from the National Dance Institute. He received the Traub scholarship to attend Harvard University, and is currently a free-lance performer, director, and instructor.

I'm pretty curious as to how he generates upward momentum at the end of his spool drop at the very beginning. Everything else I have seen and tried ends with your legs above your head with a flat body position.
