Another great video Nic, I enjoy seeing what changes and improvements you are doing to your crosstrak. I don't expect to see mine before February next year unless someone backs out of an order. Keep the video's coming mate!

Bloody brilliant guys. We just ordered out new jayco but I upgraded to lithium through jayco saves me having to do all this, although I will have to install my own dcdc to charge from the car.

@@SLVBULL I have had few now without any dramas and the thing that have gone wrong were minor and jayco fixed it no questions asked

Much easier doing it that way and if you’re handy I’m sure the dcdc will be easy to install yourself. Good luck!

Thanks for showing us the install, pity Jayco didn't do it properly in the first place.

Great video and explained. Well. What’s the total cost? Batter, inverter and installation?

Have you noticed if the storage compartment under the bed gets hot or warmer since installing all the extra charging equipment in there? I'm doing the same and thinking about putting in some external fans as well to make sure everything stays cool. 😎

No we haven’t noticed that it’s got any hotter. Good idea with the external fans though! We might have to do the same. Thanks for watching and the idea!

Hey Guys, I am enjoying your vids.
We have a CrossTrak on order it comes with the Projecta PM235J 12V Power System with two 100AMP lithium batteries with an additional solar panel.
It’s my understanding that the system will charge the batteries when travelling as well as run the fridge. The solar system will also charge the batteries.
What was the original 12V Power System in your van?
Also have you now set up a external input for a portable solar panel or blanket?

we currently have a Crosstrak with 120amp Lithium and the PM235J Projecta system plus 2x160watt solar panels on the roof ... the system has not worked since we picked up the van, we have done 2 trips out .. both off grid for 3 overnights each trip. ....and the lithium battery held up no problems... but we had no monitoring system.. the bluetooth did not work.. and the system depends on an app on your phone.... Projecta works but we couldnt monitor our usage or input.... so we basically went blind.... and all we could do was keep an eye on the fridge.. to make sure it was still running.... back in for a service shortly ...

Great setup. Looking to move to a lithium based setup myself. I had no idea the RV80 Plus existed, looks perfect for what I want. How is your roof solar and J35B charge current routed now? J35B does not have the lithium charging algorithms, so have you disable the charging function on the J35B somehow?
Also, just wondering what you did (if anything) for grounding your inverter? Lot of differing opinions out there it seems on how this should be done safety.

BM pro told us that the J35B can be used as your 12V accessory block and it won't charge the battery as it's not lithium compatible. They said it would be fine and won't damage the battery as it's only being used to power lights/sockets etc. The battery gets charged via the RV80 DCAC charger. The inverter is grounded via the chassis rail.

Hey mate what brand of panel is that? Perfect fit up front on the crosstrak. I'm planning on adding an extra solar panel myself. I've also installed a enerdrive dc2dc and it's fantastic! Thanks for the video

Hi. I’m sorry I’m not too sure- someone came and did a supply and install for us. It was just cheapo one but has been keeping us fully charged. Thanks for watching! Good luck adding one in for you!
