Good tone demos. Bugera is a good choice as well. The middle doesn't sound reverse wound, plenty of quack. Thanks for the good demo Mel.

Beautiful guitar Mel. That will be my next 1 . Same color. Nothing wrong with Squiers. As I am just a weekend warrior player.

I must have gotten some FSR model of that guitar! Same natural funish, but the body of mine is MAPLE, not poplar. My middle pickup is reverse wound, the second tone control is for the bridge pickup, and there's no skunk stripe on the neck! Fender tells me it's modeled after a 1970 strat. Other than that, it's identical to yours.

You sound great! I'm still learning coming from drums. A little keys. But I've been reviewing some gear too. The GAS got me before I was even any good. Hahahahaha

This feels like it was so long ago. Lol. Great guitar, especially now that I’ve modified it to my personal specs. 🤘🏾

Nice vid. I just picked up a 50's Fiesta Red a week ago. I keep hearing people say they aren't as good as the original run, but I have a 2008 and my new Fiesta Red is at least just as good, maybe even better (flammed neck, bone nut, full size blade 5 way switch) but just definitely slightly different than the 2008.
    Cheers!

I bought and sold the original Fiesta Red CV Strat. I regret that now. I did get a Sunburst (original)

In my opinion, the classic vibe is a better guitar, I will however say that I prefer the Slick pickups.

How does it compare to your Slick SL57 strat style you played several years back? Squiers will always have their fans, but its nice to see healthy competition. Regards.

I have to be honest, my Classic Vibe Squier plays much smoother, plus it feels of a much higher quality and the new fender designed pickups are good, but those Slick pickups were simply amazing 🤘🏾

I think ... imho ... high action setup is for rock star bends and Hendrixian moves in an easy way. Best sustain with high action. Bridge block is thin, but springs are not that color you'd expect ( metalic shinny silver ones ) ... they look like a different alloy ( golden springs ). I changed control knobs, pickup covers and tremolo arm knob for vintage cream in my white strat. White aged tremolo cavity cover matches ok with my Strat. Cool tone and big headstock !!!
The pickguard is really cool. I got this Strat because I returned a SQR STRAT CV 60's. The hole in the block was in a wrong place and had an horrible tilt. This made tremolo arm set far away from the right place and could break block in a short time. Great tone. Great guitar ... but I didn't want to spend more money in a new bridge/block. By the way, in case you ask me, block was fat delivering a piercing tone on the highs. Claw was way better than the one on the 70's. Crappy claw, I'd say. I'll get in the future a new fat decent block .... and a claw for my Strat CV 70's. 4 stars out of 5.

Very fine review. What are your thoughts on that butterscotch Tele? You should do a review on that one.

      @@GearandGuitarswithMel Thanks bro for the answer. I love the 70s looks. I can't decide between 50s or 70s 😂.
