    Last year I was going through a pretty challenging time in my life, and it kind of went on into this year as well, but ever since I started watching One Piece, I've not only felt a lot better, but I feel like I've been given a new confidence and motivation in life, and most of that is thanks to Luffy. I don't think I've ever been more inspired from any character in fiction than I have from Luffy.

    Luffy doesn't even do the countdown. Oda has gone on record saying that he consciously never draws any thought bubbles for Luffy because Luffy is supposed to be a "man of action" type character. He just does what he feels like. It makes sense given what Luffy's dream is. Thinking would only hold him back.

    This is the ultimate business advice as well… I was watching one piece and realized as I was watching that I was putting off trying for a business dream because I thought I needed 5-8 million dollars to even get started on my idea. I have never had that much money in the totality my lifetime multiplied a couple of times… So I was sort of waiting till I had something closer to get started with even the planning. But One piece inspired me, Luffy states his dream all the time and stakes his life on it because if you have all of these hidden desires and are afraid to tell people your dream and commit fully then you will miss the opportunity to grow and find like minded people(nakama) who know how to get you there together. If you try to create a complex business plan and figure out all of the stages and tactics you are either going to succeed by pivoting and adapting change in that plan anyway… or fail by rigidly trying to force reality to your complicated plan. So you need to be simple in big dreams, adaptable in the small details, get started now and learn what you need to as you go… and let everyone know about the dream so that people can tell you everything that is a challenge to it and every way you can potentially do it. If you notice luffy will die for his dream but he easily listens to his crew and others to adapt. A shipwright told him his beloved ship needed to be abandoned so he listened, Nami tells him how to be more practical so he listens… then when he senses nothing is going to work because people are over complicating things(law is this person incarnate) then he blast through the planning and stagnation to create new opportunities and goes back to 123 GO!!!!!

    I got a tattoo of a straw hat to remind myself this same thing. I love finding out that I'm not the only person who uses a shonen character as a guide for life lmao

    I seriously never thought I’d see Steve O and Luffy mentioned in the same video but somehow it makes complete sense

    I think that bit is wrong. Luffy is not motivated by Justice and Righteousness. The author has explicitly stated this.

    • @mindjuiced
      @mindjuiced  2 роки тому +28

      I think I definitely meant more along the lines of personal sense of justice and righteousness because we see him able to differentiate what sits right with him and what sits wrongly with him when it comes to choosing who is a villain and who isnt?
      Thats how I see it but what do you think?

    • @StardustMonkey

      Luffy has stated he does not want the obligation and title of hero… but he most definitely every single arc defines, states clearly and acts out what he thinks is right and just.

      @@StardustMonkey No he doesn't. It's a matter of "like" and "dislike" not "right" and "just".

      @@emperorluffy6001 I don’t want to be disrespectful to the emperor… but you need to relearn some words bro… justice and righteousness is one of the core concepts in one piece…right along with dreams and inherited will. Luffy in acts his own justice and righteousness. He serves justice and sets things right that don’t sit right with him… it does not matter if he says it’s because he likes them… he has a strong sense of justice and righteousness that has nothing to do with the law or tradition

    • @emperorluffy6001
      @emperorluffy6001 2 роки тому +5

      @@StardustMonkey Yeah those words are important. For the Marines. Not Luffy. He has explicitly stated he doesn't care about such things and the author even says Luffy is not about Justice. So again, thats incorrect.
