Thanks for the update. I actually got it for $500 ($250 off), which was the price around Black Friday. I think the discount actually decreased to $200 off ($550 total), but its "normal" Costco price is about $750.
Really liking it! My friends have the much higher-end one that retails for like $1700 and is often on sale for $1100, but I didn't want to spend that much one one of these. With a baby, our downstairs laminate flooring would get sticky often from dried sugar from dropped fruit and whatnot, and an automatic mop helps a lot with keeping the floors clean. We had a regular lower-end iRobot vacuum (I think the i4 Evo from Amazon) downstairs which was fine for dirt, but didn't help with stickiness or footprints or anything. This one navigates much better (thanks to the lidar, mostly, I think), and gets stuck less often. It has gotten stuck a few times (a couple times on a dog toy/rope, I think, and once locked itself in the bathroom), but it seems way smarter and does its job pretty well. Overall, we're pretty happy with it so far! :)
@@chadspinalbosd007 you will regret it long term. Mine is going back today. This unboxing is literally the only use I have for a video like this, because I have cleaned it profusely and it is going back. It frequently tries to replace the map and tells me it is corrupted, but if I just ignore the errors it eventually comes back. I have it for almost 6 months now. For the past 2 months it pretends it is emptying the bin into the docking station, but it is not. I have run a line through the base station to make sure there were no clogs somehow though it obviously can empty it any time it wants. So for almost 2 months I have had to manually empty the vacuum. The last time I ran it I went to empty the bin from the last run and it was empty which surprised me since I didn't recall emptying it earlier, but the next morning when I woke up it had only vacuumed two rugs and was giving an internal error, told me to reboot, still getting the internal error, rebooted again still getting the internal error. Not worth it. I am going to fix the Roomba that at least lasted years. Four of my five Roombas lasted more than 15 years and I only went to this because only one had an emptying dock and started having issues with the mapping.
@@CharlieAlbrightPianist you will start having problems, mine is only 6 months now and has been having issues for months. It's going back today because it doesn't work at all now.
really happy with mine for $500 as well. I also didn't want to spend $500-750 more for a slightly better product. Such a time saver.
We’re really liking it!
