- Restoration of a one-owner 6309, previously serviced here by me eight years ago. Early, June 1977. I was able to do a decent cleaning on the water-damaged handset, something I couldn't yet do eight years ago. Bad parts: balance & 4th wheel.
PSA: This video contains sub-optimal levels of editing, enough to get it done. We have zero script beyond the questions people have sent in. Same for the sound - I forget my microphone pretty regularly, so if you can hear anything count that as a win. Even if that "anything" is tuneless humming. I did pump up the volume though. YMMV if you choose to spend part of your life on this. No Refunds. Enjoy!

I have this same model from the early 1980's. It hasn't had anything done to it except band replacements. It still keeps pretty good time. It has outlasted my career and marriage.
All seikos looks great when they have life marks and dings 🤩
Great for you to see an old friend , that's still going strong now .
I love your restoration videos Spencer. Yesterday with the 7548-700F and today with this beautiful 6309-7040. Both videos are really good. As usual, great work. Many thanks!
