Super Cal’s double sinks Blues at the CBS - Birmingham (H) Dec 23

Friday night football at the CBS with the Sky Blues taking on local neighbours Birmingham City.
We’d won our last 2 home games, with Blues losing 7 games in a row away from home since former Man Utd and England legend Wayne Rooney had taken over.
Blues travelled in large numbers and fair play to them for making plenty of noise to help create a fantastic atmosphere with both sides joining in with a chorus of Sh*t on the Villa at the start of the game.
As the game panned out, we made the most of our chances and scored 2 well worked goals from Callum O’Hare who is still returning from an ACL injury last Christmas.
We perhaps should have had more goals and reduced Blues to a couple of long range efforts in the game and we finished the game quite comfortable really.
The win moved us up the table a couple of more places, and 5 points off the playoffs before the rest of this weekend’s game and should give the team confidence with high flying Southampton our next visitors at the CBS.
Blues look like they are struggling and will need to take a look at their situation, and may need to make changes to avoid falling into the bottom 3.
Finally, congratulations to Matty Godden and his family on the birth of their 2nd son Oliver which obviously meant that he missed the game last night.
