Decorating a Christmas Tree Sweet Shop Style Along With Designer Tips & Tricks (2020)

- Welcome to David Christopher's! David and I (Jen) are owners of a wholesale/import company and a retail store. We shoot the majority of our videos in tight spaces in our retail store in north Alabama. We are not in a controlled environment, so you never know what might happen or what you might hear in the background. ha We keep it real trying to allow you to get to know us as people as we go along.
In this episode, David decorates a 7.5' Alaskan Flocked Pine tree with a multi-function light feature. The tree is dressed in vibrant colors of blue, pink, coral, yellow and more. This Christmas tree is so fun for children, grandchildren, or the kid at heart. We have also had doctor's offices and other places of business purchase the trimmings to decorate this tree. It's sure to bring out the kid in anyone. It is located in one of the corners of our Candy Shop inside our store.
The bones of our business have been in place for almost 50 years! David took the reins of the company 13 years ago changing our direction towards designing and importing products. He also opened a retail store. I joined him in the small business crazy almost 5 years ago. We enjoy what we do and try to be a light for all of those we meet.

Tree number 2..The placement of the ornaments are so bold and Christmas is something every child loves spending endless hours staring up into the tree and dreaming what Santa is bringing this year 2020 with all the hardships in families..

I just love absolutely love that new flocked Alaskan tree the way its branches are made sloping down like that is absolutely beautiful!!!!
I love to see how sometimes you add the picks first but for this one you added the ornaments first. So really, there's not a step by step way to make the tree beautiful, it has to be organic. Gives me a lot more confidence to start where it feels right ☺️

The Sweet Shop theme is wonderful! Makes me smile and the colors feel light and airy like the whole tree is going to levitate and float away. Love the whimsey and the fact that it's something totally different. Thank you for the inspiration.

My favorite is the red and white one. I am doing that tree only smaller. I have a 4.5 tree. It sits in a galvanized wheel barrow. It should be interesting. I’m taking lots of tips from you and your trees. Cross your fingers.

That tree makes me happy
I like the cluster of ornaments. I used smaller clusters last year. Blue and silver flocked tree. So I made the clusters of one dark blue shiny, one medium blue matte, and one silver different shape for each cluster. Much more bang for the buck...better impact of ornaments than some many separate ones.

Wonderful playful tree | a neighbor taught me how properly to hang ornaments [ as you suggested ] many years ago | in selling my hand embellished ornaments in the shop I provide the same string type you show stating the proper way to hang them | customers using this technique found their ornaments stay in place | a 6ft slim tree decorated with my ornament designs is up all year in my shop celebrating "Christmas in July" sale! NY-USA
Although not a fan of this colour palette for Christmas as I prefer the traditional red,greens,gold for Christmas I can see that David did a great job.
It would be nice to make a video like a
store tour in one of your future videos.
