I've watched several videos trying to make this feature clear and this is the first one I've seen that makes sense to me. I'll rewatch it several times, and will add the bookmark to my list. Thanks again for your excellent tutorials.

I am not new to Blend-if, but completely forgot about blending using the RGB channels. Thanks for the detailed explanation.

Jezus, you have never failed to move me a step or two forward with your videos. I almost didn't watch this as I thought I knew Blend If pretty well, but boy, am I glad that I did. Before today, one of the best uses of Blend If I've seen is from Bert Monroy who used it to control a boat reflection on wavey water. The sides of the waves facing the viewer would not have shown the reflection, and they were also darker because the scene was slightly back lit. Blend If made it super easy to hide the reflection on the near side of the waves. Your use with the snow on the climber and using the blue channel to mask in the clouds was at least as clever, and something I will try to make use of going forward.

Great video. Maybe OT a bit, but does "Blend If" also exist in Premiere Pro? (I know, I should go look, right?). But I often put b-roll photos on the main video like you did with the moon and blending it into the video would be awesome?

I've never understood why Adobe chooses to show the color channels sliders with the color on the right and BLACK on the left. It would make it more intuitive if the left side of the sliders showed the complement of the color. So the BLUE channel sliders would have blue on the right end and yellow on the left end.

What you name layers are different than the download. Therefore, the rest of the video is useless. Mine shows a color layer!
