- In 1781 while heading home from being a prisoner of war in Niagra, Benjamin Harvey accidentally stumbled upon (hopefully not into) the largest lake in Pennsylvania, by volume at least; Harveys lake. 621 square acres of water surrounded by a paved road and resorts is an amazing place to visit (and fly your drone!)

I so remember going to Sandy Beach as a kid. I loved it and still have some photos.
Oh, another thing…before I was born my dad, Zig Kukis swam the length of the lake with a boat following him. He loved the lake too.
Largest natural lake in PA...no dam...just inlet on one end and outlet on the other...
