Sorry for your loss, you had very special moments, That is something a lot of people did not have, thank god for video technology today to be able to save those memories. Your child is so blessed to have a dad like you. Take care matt. Hang in there. JaYoe.
Wow Matt I’m so sorry. I had a similar relationship with my in-laws and truthfully feel your sorry. Joe was a great man to get to know through your vlogs. Thank you for introducing him to us.
Matt, always keep remembering all the good times you shared with your Grandpa. The laughter, the fun times ect. Because, that is all we have left now. There is not a moment that goes by that I do not miss or cry over the one's I loss in 2017. But, we have to be strong Matt and I am sure you are, when your daughter gets a little older show her what a great Grandpa she had. Show her the videos Matt, so that she never forgets what a great guy he was. You were so "blessed" Matt to have had such a great Grandpa.
Matt, my condolences to you. I’m so glad he was part of the Jayoe Nation. Thank you for sharing him with us. He is a lot like my dad, who’s 91. Both, part of the greatest generation. Rest In Peace, Grandpa Joe and rest in the hope that you’ll see each other again.
So sorry to hear of your loss Matt. I am so glad you two got the kind of relationship it seems you had. I bet you made a big impact of each others lives.
Sorry for your sad loss.. he had a great long life.. You speak from the heart, Very touching story of your relationship with you granddad, Thanks for sharing.
So so sorry to learn of your heart breaking news. When I lost someone I dearly loved, I was sent this and it was just what I needed. I hope it provides a little comfort in your time of grief... and gratitude for what you had & will always have in your heart: “Someday you will be faced with the reality of loss; and as life goes on, days rolling into nights, it will become clear that you never really stop missing someone special who’s gone, you just learn to live around the gaping hole of their absence. When you lose someone you can’t imagine living without, your heart breaks wide open, and the bad news is you never completely get over the loss. You will never forget them. However, in a backwards way, this is also the good news. They will live on in the warmth of your broken heart that doesn’t fully heal back up, and you will continue to grow and experience life, even with your wound. It’s like badly breaking an ankle that never heals perfectly, and that still hurts when you dance, but you dance anyway with a slight limp, and this limp just adds to the depth of your performance and the authenticity of your character. The loved ones you lose remain a part of you. Remember them and always cherish the good moments spent with them xxx”
So sorry for your loss. I've been Watching your videos for some time now, and your positive attitude and infectious smile has helped me through tough times particularly the death of my father in late 2017. I know you must be going through a great deal with the recent passings of your grandfather, father, and friend. I just want you to know that my family has you in our prayers. I know we haven't met but anyone can see that you're such a great person, with a great family and we wish the absolute best for you!
He's seen the great depression, the great war, the American dream and this modern information era. He's seen up and downs. I'm sure he has lived the best of his life and understood what life is all about. My sincere condolence to you and your family. Stay strong and best of luck.
Matt, I am so very sorry for your loss. You, and your whole family, will be in my prayers most especially at this time. May your Grandpa Joe rest in peace.
I love that when life gives you something sour you don't wait for the sweet to come along you find it and I wish more ppl were like you JaYoe Matt sorry.
Grandpa Joe is smiling from heaven now, in his prime years again without the burden of a body. He will be watching over you, keeping you safe while you write your life's story into many years ahead. God bless you and your grandpa.
This is sad but very enlightening. I have always been thinking the same way you do, we are all living on a spinning rock. Time is limited, we gotta do things we love. That is why I love what you are doing. Thank you for sharing all of these Matt. I wouldn't understand your feeling much, because I have never met both of my grandpas. This is something I envy you a lot. Cheers brother.
What a Amazing Man Joe was and your father also . I only knew them from your videos but in some strange way I felt like they are part of the everyone's family here on the UA-cam. It was a honor to be part of the memories and thank you for sharing. We can only dream of living such wonderful lifes as your father and grandfather.
As you mentioned not doing your showing your videos in a bragalicious way. When showing them to Grandpa Joe. You presented them to him in a way where he could learn at his own pace and way. Which brought an amazing display of positive interaction between each other.
Condolences Matt. I am sure Joe is in heaven now. It's funny how similar we are to the oldest member of the family, without really realizing it, until after they pass. They are the ones that understand you like no other. Both you and Joe have earthly memories together that will never fade. I'm also sure that whenever you feel down Joe will be your motivation to carry on and do better. I wonder if Eva will make a similar video when it is your time? Jayoe to Joe and yourself Matt. Thumbs up.
May your grandpa eternally feast in the Golden halls of Valhalla. Cheers! I'm 31 and both my Grandpa's have already left for Valhalla. I still got both my grandmas.
Hold strong brother, I pray you find the patience and serenity to deal with such a loss. These loves of life are the gifts bestowed, and taken back when we feel they were meant to be forever, but what remains forever... Praying for you and your family, Stay strong for them too.
He passed on his ability to tell a story to you, that helped you go on this grand adventure that bought you close together. You shared with him each time you posted a video, and you inspired others to go beyond their comfort zone and explore. Yesterday you gave me a JaYoe and positive feedback even though I am sure you just found out about your grandpa. That takes great strength to lift others up when you are down, you are a true friend to everyone you meet and I am sure he and your father are very proud of you, we are very sorry for your loss. Safe travels Matt.
I lost both of my granpas when I was 1 and 2, I don't even remember their faces when I'm not looking to photos, and I really miss that kind of relationship as yours... I loved your dad like he was mine too, and the same happened with your granpa. ♥️
Sorry for your loss, Matt. I've been enjoying your video. You've invisibly helped and inspired me a lot, for example my English listening skill improves a lot through watching your video everyday... You're my idol. Please stay strong.
I am so sorry Matt, he seemed like a very awesome man. Very sweet and fun man. I remember when you were back with your dad and how he was very involved. He will always be a warm spot in your heart that will make you feel whole and make you laugh when you remember him, like my grandfather.
Although he is gone in body he will live on in the memories and stories you tell of him. One day in the future you will be called "Grandpa Matt" - and the stories will continue with a new chapter.
Matt, sorry for your loss, my condolences to your family, 90 years old is a relatively long life, and your good personality is from your family, you made me recalling my grand mother , she actually brought me up.
Man, sorry for your loss. I discovered your videos last summer and decided to start from the beginning. I binged and binged and I reached the point where you lost your dad at the same time I suddenly lost my dad. Your videos kind of helped me through as I had two years before that lost my mom and then 8 months prior to my dads passing lost my youngest sister. So much loss in the past few years. Just know that they are enjoying you journey unedited! JaYoe!
Your videos .. bought back some very powerful memories ... I lost my Grandpa ( Maternal) when I was in junior high school... The rest is just __________ ... anyways .. please stay strong ...
Matt, I lost someone very dear to me this week and your journey has been an essential part of my Jayoe in processing it. I’m so sorry for your loss and I wish you the very best, man.
Matt, I'm so sorry for the loss of your grandpa! You had me crying along with you this morning. It's wonderful that you have all the good memories and that you have so much video to remember him with. Time eases pain, and the memories live on. I never had a grandpa, just one wonderful grandma who was the world to me...she died 24 years ago. It was a hard time. Now I look forward to the dreams that I sometimes have, where she is with me and it seems so real that I don't want to wake up...because somehow I know it's just a dream. This has to be really tough coming on the heels of your dad's passing. Stay strong, live your life to the max and continue to make them proud! I'm glad he went in his sleep, that's how I want to go when the time comes. Ninety years is a good long life, although it never seems long enough when we love so deeply. Take care!
Keep making and telling stories, its for them, you and, everyone. Speading the joy and sharing life is what it is all about and showing each other compassion and sharing what we have to share. Many, many, many people mimic what you have showed Joe, your dad, and the rest of the family. All of us here benefit from your antics and adventures and really appreciate your humanism and wild and honest way that editing does not seem to take away from. We get the real experience, good or bad. You always have a smile for someone willing to accept it, no matter where you are in the world. You are a kind soul and it shows. What you are doing is good for a lot of people and that includes yourself. Nothing on this earth is better than living it the way that makes you happy and having no regrets till the time comes for us all. Keep smiling and laughing, sharing and bonding with others, its the only thing that is going to bridge that gap that you have been so good at doing, even within your own family. We are all one extended family no matter where we come from. Help those that do not see it take off the blindfold and keep encouraging those that will smile and greet without even knowing your name. Life and being human can be wonderful and you are right, in this day and age we can use all the positive vibes you put out and exposure to all the wonderful people of the world we can get.
God bless you and your family. My grandfather died at age 95. He rode his old bicycle 10 miles a day on the farm his whole life. A month before he passed, was the last ride he took.
I feel for you and your loss Matt, hold on to those memories you had with him and look forward to being able to share the fantastic memories you will be able to share with your own future grand kids. JaYoe Matt
I always enjoyed the videos you had of him when you were in Detroit and will miss him. That says a lot about the type of guy he was. Our thoughts are with you this morning.
You will always have the memories and he will always be around he and your dad are together now in heaven. my prayers are with you my condolences to you and your family.
