data insert kijiye then jo unique ID generate ho rahi usko enrollment num assume kar lijiye

@Vishnu Agar Random Function se aapki requirement puri ho jati hai to use kar sakte hai but roll num ya enrollment num serial wise hote hai so totally depends ki requirement kya hai and for your second comment you can only auto increment numbers so if you need that type of string as column value forget the auto increment feature however the best approach store number with auto increment which will be unique and while retrieving the data to user concat string for example store roll num 123 and while retrieving concat string to it so it will become Stu_123 or replace stu_ with any other string. Benefit of this approach is if your company changes business domain with same data you would not need to worry about old data for example aaj company Love ka business karti hai to data kuch aisa hai Love_123 kal ko agar company Hate ka business karegi to isko aasani se Hate_123 kiya ja sakta hai bina DB column ko delete kiye becoz waha store sirf 123 hi tha jo k auto increment tha column me I hope u got the point
