I am in awe of how you toss the entire pack. I would have to go through and take out the things I do like before tossing the rest (who am I kidding, I keep it all haha). I saw some leaves and tabs and things I thought for sure you'd pull out but I guess given you're an "influencer" (I bet you don't think of yourself that way) and have a desire to always know what you're using it's hard to keep random bits and pieces. I have those 49&Market butterflies and I LOVE THEM but some are huge. Maybe I'll make cards with them, maybe I'll just admire them. I really like some of 49&Market's recent stuff.
I do like to know what I’m scrapping with for video purposes, but it’s also a mindset thing. If I fall down the rabbit hole of evaluating every tiny piece, I’ll never finish it.
I would've gone thru each of those packs & picked the pieces I wanted; yes to those, no to the rest 😰
You can, but I need to be brutal with this purge and this is the only way I can definitively make a difference in my stash.

The temptation was STRONG. I am an ephemera fan, so most of these I purchased intentionally and it was hard to get rid of any of them!

It’s a much-needed refresh as well as an opportunity to remind myself of how much I have already, so I’m not tempted to buy more.
I have a hard time getting rid of die cuts too. I feel like the minute I get rid of a certain pack the next day I'll want them for my page.😀
Yes! A lot of the newer packs have such a great variety too.
I would have gotten rid of the valentine, easter and vintage roses packs. That's it. 😂 but something is better than nothing. Thanks for the coffee break!
This one was the hardest one for me! Partially because I don't usually get ephemera packs in warehouse boxes, so I purchased most of these intentionally. Luckily, my storage for this one is pretty accommodating and it doesn't take up much space.
I would dump all the maybes in a photo case or pencil box and shop there if I can’t find what I need in my other things. I have color drawers and the might go there too. I bet there were tons of useables for me. But I Iike vintage so …..😊
That's a great idea! I'm trying to pair down my stash in a significant way because I'm downsizing my household to half its current size.

All of your purge videos have been impressive but this one in particular is VERY impressive. I would totally have had to open those packets so I could keep the bits I liked. Mind you I would do that for almost all of them; when I open a package of ephemera, I take out anything I know I won't use & put it with paper that matches, to put in the garage sale we have every year.
When I first get ephemera I do keep it in the packaging; once it's open I put them in the 4x6 photo cases; I have 3 of the sets from Michaels. Once open I sort by colour, theme, or company (multi color that isn't a specific theme goes by company).
I do need a better holder for my unopened ephemera, and I love what you've got yours in. Any idea where you'd have gotten them? I love the dimensions; if I can't get something with a lid so I can stack one on top of the other, I want something with the opening in the front like yours have, so I can get them out easily and have them side by side
Understandable! I know that opening everything will slow me down and I’ll start overthinking and obsessing. Quick, git decisions have been a major help. I also am purging pretty drastically for the purpose of downsizing and more containers take up more space. These containers came from Amazon: amzn.to/3RdUzi2 I love them!

What if there’s something that you want to keep in a pack? Will you take pieces out of a package that are in the “No” pile? And vise Versa?
It depends on why I'm purging. If it's simply because I want to refine my stash? Yes. In this case, I have to purge for space reasons, so no.
What do you do if the ephemera goes with a paper collection? Do you keep it together or separate it? Great videos!
It depends on how much I have of the collection and if I think I will use it together. If it's just a few bits, I'll separate it for DIY kits, but if it's enough for a whole kit itself, then I'll keep it together.

Yes! It's been so cathartic to clean out those old things and refining my stash into a collection.
I joined Hip Kit Club for a while and have been keeping the ephemera in with everything else in the kit. Do you break apart your kits when you get them or keep them together?
I don’t subscribe anymore. The ephemera packs I have are from warehouse boxes and sales.
Oh wow! My style is differen than yours. I would have kept all the F jane,Simple stories and Carta Bella . But i enjoy your videos and there is no wrong way to scrapbook,righr???
So true! I love Felicity Jane designs, but the off-white of the ephemera always bothers me and I just don't use it. Analyzing my scrappy style has been such an interesting experience and I've learned what encourages and motivates me to scrap versus what frustrates me.
