Wonderful...so beautifully sung and filmed. I really like "il tabarro;" three basically decent characters caught up in a tragic love triangle...no Baron Scarpia types in this opera. Thanks for sharing it.

Those who say Puccini's Turandot can be grim ain't seen nothing 'till they experience the same composer's Il Tabarro. And it gives us Maestro Domingo as the object of a horrifying murder onstage- and not a glorifying one like Verdi's Un Ballo en Maschera, either

Não sabia do Plácido Domingo ao lado de nossa Eliane Coelho, Isto aconteceu um ano antes dele interpretar Peri em O Guarani e será que não liberaram o Vídeo com a Ópera de Bohn?. Pena que no Audio tenha suprimido o Bailado da ópera.
Domingo and Eliane Coelho are so credible as their respective characters! The singing is also fantastic and truly veristic.
