+TR PD Tuve la oportunidad de conocerle en persona en The New World School of the Arts en Miami.
It's fine, I think that it's a good upgrade for a built-in phono stage on an integrated. I upgraded to Phonobox RS, but I never disliked it. Not as convenient because of the tiny jumpers on the back, makes it difficult to change cartridges quickly.
+TR PD I understand. Would be great to know if it's an upgrade worth 7 times the original price if I changed my ART DJ PRE II to TubeBox DS in near future, though. Or>to save money and take the RS route, for example.
A friend loaned me the EAR one without the volume control and it's a jaw dropping unit. Very involving and clear sound. Expensive and large, I think I will wait a while.
I only borrowed it for a week, trying not to get too attached. But I do recommend it, especially for MC, since it has about 62db of gain or something like that.
Beautiful piece, beautiful performance.
Mr. de Lancie did his best to carry on Tabuteau's Tradition. It was a privilege to be at Curtis and study with him. Bob
I have the same recording, would play it on Sunday mornings many years ago. John Delancie is superb. Really nice to hear it again.
Thumbs up if you think this is the best oboe tone ever recorded!!!
Mr. de Lancie had a sound and vibrato (or lack thereof ) that is truly glorious in this recording .
@@davidhawkins9818 Agreed.
Check out the Kodaly one I recently made 😂
It's beautiful..Thank you for sharing!
Lovely, truly lovely. Thank you.

+Comicdominicano Me alegra saberlo. John Delancie fue uno de los grandes oboistas de nuestros tiempos...
