No, we've had the Kora Awards since the late 90's but i think it doesn't exist anymore. I think the last Kora Awards was in 2016

The crowd is boring, this is a disgrace the artist are doing their best to entertain the crowd they silenced like is a funeral. If is a artist from the USA you would see them jumping and singing, this is a disgrace, we African we don’t love our own
I place the blame on the organisers. It's just a reflection of the perennial naivety and ignorance exhibited by almost all sectors of leadership and administration in Naija.
Now we are talking about an awards show here where pop music is celebrated and awards given out, popular stars make stage performances. If the organisers use their brains, they would know that at least 65 to 70 percent of the invitees or fans in that auditorium should be dominated by the young demographic with age ranging fron teenagers to those in their mid thirties. And that demographic should be closest to the stage, because they will show the most support to the musicians. But what do we have here? They populate the hall will pot bellied politicians and successful moguls, that can barely walk briskly for 50 metres, let alone dance ebulliently to the performances of the stars. Many of them don't even know half the lyrics of the songs played.
When we start using our brains in this country and continent, things will change.
Esmile Kamara major reason we don't develop. We never appreciate our own things. We prefer promoting western culture. Most of them sitting down there will be comparing it with Hollywood awards just to be seen as better than others😂..., colonial mentality
Ubilicious I don't agree with you. They were boring because it is a new concept for some people, most of us in Africa don't appreciate our own things, or do we really know how to relax, simple. Our social development and interactions starts very late and we're too SERIOUS.

They need to include the Caribbean countries and make this award a lot bigger than this. Never forget the extension of Africa. She will not be happy leaving her other children behind seriously. I hear a lot of Jamaican music influences in many of those artists but I don't see a Jamaican artists or any other carribbevn artists performing. No good. Where' s the love. If we are going to talk about a unification, we need to talk about a global unification across the borders.

I agree with everybody, the crowd was really horrible and mist annoying part of it was that our local (Nigerian) artists were not there to pick up there award. However, it's good that we are embracing our thing.
