Nice! I brought my wife there I think 21 years ago for a three day weekend. Our room was on the first floor, I believe the first room at the stairwell in bldg 1 you walked past. I remember getting there from the airport, changing into my swim suit, jumping my patio railing and running into the bay...lol. To be honest, from my trip there over 20 years ago, not much has changed. The furniture still looks the same. I don't recall all of the fencing around the pool...in fact we had a big iguana near the pool that the restaurant fed lettuce so there was no fence.
Thank you for sharing your memories with us!! Place definitely looked to have older decoy but the location is great!! We will definitely visit again. Have a wonderful day
I had my honeymoon with my first wife and we stayed there in 1992 when that place was brand new. And also there were huge iguanas all over the place, around the pool when we were there. There wasn't a fence like that around the pool that I remember and you could look out from the pool to the ocean and there was a bar down there little bar Hut and I'd go down there and order pina coladas. I think I drank $100 worth of Pina coladas but we're talking 1992 so...We had a good time, we walked down the beach to the right to another resort or a restaurant. It was pretty cool looking. We ate there most the time we didn't eat there at that hotel at emerald Beach. I think that Charles lindberg actually landed on that beach back in the day. I almost got killed there, twice. First I almost stepped in front of a bus because traffic's on the the other side of the road and there's these little girls school girls with their little uniforms on and right before I stepped out to get killed one of them said don't, stop mister she saved my life. Later we got a rental car and I turn into a liquor store to get some of that cruzan rum that they have down there, and I when I made the turn into the parking lot of the store I crossed to the right lane head on with a cop and she's waving her arms to go on the other lane. And we're all like oh my God. But she didn't even stop to say anything to us. She just put us in the right lane. But it was scary there for a second. We had great weather when we were there too. That was spring. I know it was because it was Ash Wednesday while we were there, there was hundreds of people all over the place from the cruise ships with Ashes on their foreheads. Lastly, getting a ride into town from there was kind of scary because these people would pull over and they're in their own private car it seems like and they have you sit in the back and there's no way to get out of the vehicle in the back. They taking the door handles off. That was kind of scary. We getting kidnapped. Are we going to downtown and go shopping? Looks like you had a great trip! Thanks for putting this on UA-cam, brings back some of my few good memories for my first marriage.
@@vk8753 they drive on the left side of the road. It wasn’t a big deal to us personally because it wasn’t the first time we have experienced it. Also, most of the time you will be behind a local and you can follow them. Worse thing for us was, we wanted to look at the view but had to also drive lol. Hope you enjoy your visit! This is our favorite island
@@olgad9682 Yes!! Multiple times! We walk faster than most. Other than it being hot, it’s an easy walk. Pretty much has a concrete sidewalk. We even carried luggage after we landed in St. Thomas. We just rolled it on the sidewalk
Awesome. Hope you enjoy your stay! We went right before the tourist season opened in October. The bar was open a little late-not til midnight. There was some music on the beach. At night we liked to get a few drinks and get in the pool.
Absolutely recommend staying here ti celebrate your anniversary! One of the few hotels in St. Thomas that’s actually on the beach! If you eat at the hotel, you will spend 40+ dollars for 2 per meal unless you split your food. I would say about 100.00 per day for food should be good. We never got close to that even eating around the island. Meals can get expensive if you get a few cocktails because at most places, drinks are about 12.00 usd each
@@lisanorris6470 we chose this one because it was on the beach. Emerald Beach is beautiful. Plus, it’s only about a 20 min walk from airport. Flights stop around 8 pm and they didn’t fly in to early either. With the balcony doors shut (every room has a balcony), the planes are irrelevant! You honestly can’t go wrong!! Views galore 😁😁😁
Not at all!! Flights stop at like 8 pm. You couldn’t even hear the planes at all if you were in your room with balcony door closed. I would totally recommend the hotel
This was a wonderful vacation! I’m ready to go back!!
Thats a great location and a beautiful place. Love the pool.🐸
That is officially on my bucket list!!..Thank you for sharing!

Did you actually walk from the airport? I watched another video and they did walk and it took them 45 minutes.

Is this an all inclusive resort?
It’s not unfortunately! Food and drink are extra
Thank you for this post. I just booked a room here for August. Does it get lively in the evenings?

How much would you recommend budgeting for food? Would this be a good place to stay to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary?
