The reason the Porto game was tough for Arsenal was cos they literally sat back for 90% of the game and played the counter attack game and played for fouls all the time to frustrate.

Bayern are stronger than people think just because they aren’t first in the bundesliga. They still have one of the highest points per game compared to other teams in the top 5 leagues, they have world class players and did not lose a single match in their group. Nah I mean I think it’s outrageous to say that it’s a straight up stupid decision, but it’s definitely debatable on if it’s better or not. The away goal rule incentivised teams to attack in the away game and it created some crazy games

Tuchel has a habit of parking the bus against better opposition which is rare for a German manager so it will be interesting to see if he has that respect for arsenal or is he going to play a highline. His teams are also very possession based with very good ball retention and less misplaced pass if they do attack so it could be difficult to take the ball off them.

A lot of valid points here, but again, all I'm hearing is a lot of underestimation of where this Arsenal team is. Experience is key in the CL, no doubt about that. It'll be tight.

Arsenal will go through. Neuer is injured, they have no RB fit, Kane will be coming back from a knock, the players know the manager is leaving at the end of the season and NO away fans allowed in the 1st leg. Arsenal on the other hand (by the time the leg is here) will have almost the entire squad fit and buzzing for the game. Porto was tough for us as it was a team that are defensively solid and sit back, like Athletico. However, it’s teams that try to bring the game to us that we control the game and find the pockets of space to punish them. I do t think we will get to the final, but I can definitely see us progressing to the semis

I get Rory's point to an extent about Arsenal, history and experience does play a part and this arsenal team are young and inexperienced but he also couples this analysis with misunderstandings. Arsenal have not conceded a goal at the emirates in the Champions league this season, not a single goal. They have won all 4 games by a combined goal difference of 13-0. Bayern lost away to Lazio in the last round. Its valid to say Bayern go through across the tie but Arsenal are much better than he gives credit for.

The only one I'm confident on is Atletico over Dortmund.
Psg have a much better squad over Barca and really shouid be brushing them aside, but I don't know, I wanna go with the fun option of barca knowing it's less likely. To be fair, psg shouldn't have even made it out the group, so who knows what's more likely.
I believe Arsenal are focused too heavily on the league for them to brush aside a bayern side who, yes have performed less than adequately this season, but have a great tournament coach who's won this before and it's all the club have to play for. Plus, Kane always performs against Arsenal.
Lastly, as much as I don't want to say it, I think Madrid will win this tie against City. They're running away with la liga and City have to dig in hard to win the league this year and are also still in the fa cup. Yes, City were in a much similar situation last year, but they're not preforming to the same standards, especially not Haaland.
So that means I would have atletico vs barca and bayern vs madrid in the semis, in which I choose atletico to advance and, uh, honestly no clue between bayern and madrid. Uhh, bayern I guess cuz, idk. Then atletico win it cuz, that'd be nice to see as a fun option plus Kane curse.
