- The Metropolitan Police has decided not to introduce gender-neutral uniforms after reviewing the idea. Following a consultation with its 30,000 officers, the force chose to keep the current uniforms, with the contract extended to 2026.
Meanwhile, Ministers are considering 'Texas-style' prison reforms for England and Wales that would allow inmates to reduce their sentences by earning points through participation in courses, according to reports.
Labour is planning to adopt a similar system to the one in the United States, where prisoners can cut their time by attending classes addressing the causes of their crimes, such as drug use. These courses include education, vocational training, and rehabilitation programs.
Since Texas introduced the scheme in 2007, the prison population has dropped by 15%, and reoffending rates have fallen by about 30%.

GMP were asked if they could help our veterans and they took the batan and ran with it in an exemplary way by raising Armed Forces Champions in local stations, prison services, and sourcing other agencies who help veterans including backing them into social housing, into mental health programs for PTSD and certain inoculations, the list goes on including the NHS. I just thought you might want to know what a great police force we have throughout the UK as the gentleman that has spread this to all but 3 constabulary’s is guiding them to follow in suit. Suicides were really high between the blue light services and the Armed Forces. They are using veterans (now serving police officers) within the stations to help them

1st 20% of ANY sentence should be total punishment then the remainder total rehabilitation and education.
this is why they go back to prison they need to do something so they don't go back to prison because it cost a lot of money to keep them

Male/female trousers are different. Male tend to be longer between crutch to waist and less shaped for ie. Your gender is not offended by choosing the trousers most comfortable for your shape. A one size fits all is hopeless. I’m female but prefer higher waisted trousers, so will shop in the male shorter leg section. It’s not rocket science or offensive, it’s just about comfort!

This is a very good idea, but it should still come with probation and the threat of serving the full sentence if crimes are committed after any early release.

If UK had a grip on the 3 "criminals" - and had only 3 available places - it should send the released prisoners to Rwanda (for rehabilitation) put the illegal emigrants in prisons, and send the occasional passersby talking to friends or watching a roaming crowed back to the ocean on the same boats which just arrived to your shores, .... easily cheap and quick ... your PM got mixed up, inserted his leg to the sleeve of a shirt... poor soul... but to save your money or to cut your loss - this is the simple solution without any extra expense - just move them around and around - Boat (never empty - return ticket of a different name this time with passport) then prison then Rwanda .... go round and round - and you can also get free wind energy if you tap into the spirit of the day - ecology and foreign affairs - buy 1 get 2 free .... Rwanda is waiting for thy the Boat for thy too, floating prison free fishing course - rehabilitate the ocean and don't over fish, if you need to pass the test and it's too noisy (with all the fish singing nonstop) there's a nice place you can go to 2k a night but worth it apparently
