Best episode ever! But I do wish we'd seen what happened to Jensen and Jared while Sam and Dean were playing Jensen and Jared. Were the actors zapped into lives of Sam and Dean? How did that affect them upon returning to the set? Missed opportunity for comedic gold...
@@chrizmartin9890 yeah but not before they messed up and got some demon or angel after then for blood. Then they have to rise up and manage to hold it off, like tropic thunder.
Maybe Sam and Dean actually took over Jared and Jensen's bodies when they went to this dimension. I'd like to think that Jared and Jensen were still in their bodies, confused af as to why they can't control themselves, and why their bodies are acting like the characters they are playing.
@@inzanity490 that's what's I'm thinking. But still. It would've been amazing to have a sequel to this episode of Jared & Jensen in the Supernatural verse
The most hilarious and most realistic episode ever no pun intended lol. Kinda makes you think about perspective doesn't it. To them every second is real but to us it's just a show
I knew everything was fake. The names...story line...props...stuff like that. BUT to hear that the car they drove was not ...real...and they did not just use the one car every single scene..( they probably used a diffrent car each episode!) I was shocked..and kinda..disappointed. I wanted that to be real.
They use ALOT of those cars. At least one or two are real 67-68 Impalas that run and drive great they use for close ups eta. Others are actually 60's Chevy Capreces mocked up to look like a impala and used for stunts eta
It's playing off the fact that so many of the crew members, and even Jensen himself, had worked on other shows where the leads hated each other. It's just one of a million things they're making fun of in "the biz" in this episode. Jensen and Jared actually being really close, which is the opposite of the norm, definitely adds to the joke, kinda like how Misha acts to his opposite through the episode (diva and rude). It's upside down world. The title of the episode refers to a scene in the movie Blazing Saddles, where they break the fourth wall, just like they're doing here. The camera pans out, revealing it's all a movie and it moves over to another studio lot where a gay chorus is singing The French Mistake. There's a little clip of Mel Brooks explaining it on youtube if you want to look it up.
This scene is hilarious but... SERIOUSLY SAM AND DEAN? Did you seriously thought you would find ANYTHING "REEL" in a serie decor? Come on guys, you should be smarter then this!
love it when they are so frustrated with the props
i love how everything they show is reality and still its so hilarious
I love how this show has enough of a sense of humor to make fun of itself. lmao
LMFAO, when he 'stabs' sam with the fake knife.
And Sam even jumps
And then proceeds to stab himself multiple times
I love Sams little twitch when Dean first jabs him with the fake knife
They just walk to the Impala, like normal...Love it!
One of the best things about this episode is the running joke about them "at least talking to each other". Thanks for uploading this scene!
This episode was gold, so many years later and I still come back to rewatch the hilarious scenes on youtube! 😂
you know... even if that Impala was a prop... i'd still want it. o_o
Not even a impala, its a caprice lol (they do have one or two real impalas used for a "hero" car)
"At least they're talking to each other" 😂
its not the impala, oh you think? its a freaking prop! lol
Best episode ever!

"at least they are talking to each other" refers to?
+tay tay this episode was just full of irony and stuff like that for the viewers' fun. In the show's parallel universe, J & J are not friends.
More likely in this parallel universe J & J made a french mistake and they can't talk to each other anymore
Look up what the french mistake means and apply it to why the actors won't talk to each other
No it’s referring to how a weird set of people think that they as actors don’t talk and aren’t really friends in reality
