Lekin aaj bhi udhr pahado me jo mere dost bane thy unko yaad karta hu or milna chahta hu. So I hope that, God will give me a chance again to meet my lovely Friends.

This is a dream come true for me Avinash. 😊 I have been looking forward to Himbus journeys into my beloved Sirmaur. Heartfelt thanx to you, Dixit and your entire team.
Here are a few of my immediate thoughts at this moment :
1. I have actually not been to these areas ever, although it has been my dream for a long time. Something or the other keeps holding my plans up. I have travelled to Rajgarh, Baru.Sahib, Haripurdhar and even covered the Oachghat - Nairag - Wasni - Baru Sahib road. But never to these parts.
2. Have been looking forward to the completion of the Paonta Sahib - Kamrau - Gumma section (97 kms) of the NH 707 project for years now. But this doesnt look very promising. Did you actually travel on the same alignment as the NH 707 or you were on the old road to Kamrau - Kafota ?
As far as I understand, the NH 707 passes through the village of Ashyari after Kamrau, which I didnt see. I do have a list of villages which the new highway touches, and I will share that with you.
The condition that this project is in, I don't think it can be inaugurated in the next 5 years, if not more. That is a little heartbreaking for me.
Beyond Gumma, I think the Fediz Bridge - Arakot section is almost complete. We saw parts of it in your '6 days with HRTC' series.
The importance of this highway for our district can never be overstated. Paonta Sahib will become a Transport Hub for locals to travel to Delhi ( via the Delhi - Dehradun Expressway) and also Chandigarh, which is just 120.kms from Paonta. No need to go to Nahan and Solan. Even residents of Chaupal amd Nerwa will benefit a lot.
All.we ask for is a highway on the lines of the stunning 80 km Nahan - Kumarhatti highway. Single road, two lanes.
3. Gattadhar looks like a dream hill village, a bit like Dhar Chandna, although much smaller. The picturesque sorroundings and the monsoon mist make it even more enchanting.
I am praying that work is expedited on NH 707, so that the long wait of these remote villages is finally over. And then we can go on our much awaited bike jouneys through our beloved lands.
