@ no I understand. to each their own. I still like fenders and other brands. I just think its pretty cool that the founder on the headstock is still alive and working. I like the way their guitars play.
Man Paul's energy and excitement is contagious. My SE since I started has been carrying for me the last 10 years, and after this it might be the perfect time for an upgrade!
Very funny. Working their asses off in the back of the store plugging black friday , then Christmas run up , to casually bantering with PRS in LA . Love the Captain and Pete
PRS Guitars is finding its sound. What a lovely bunch. Paul is in a rare group of super leaders. Lots of remarkable guitar makers, small companies and of course the light of a good strat or les paul will never be dimmed. But PRS has got its mojo working
Paul is such a nice person. Met him briefly during a factory tour. He´s truly a guitarist who loves build top notch guitars. God Bless his dedication ✨
What a wonderful video, capturing Paul and Lee’s friendship and love of guitars. Would love to see Paul back in the UK for another video with Lee and you never know maybe even JM one day.
What’s nice about this is lee trying to promote guitars and Paul just wanting to have a chat and a laugh with lee and Pete. When the guy who’s Brand it is would rather have a chat with you than sell his guitars knowing how large the audience for the channel is that’s a genuine compliment. One day i will be able to afford my custom 24 with a Floyd with a super flamed or quilted top in a crazy colour until then i will enjoy watching the fun antics of the guy that makes them and that genuinely cracks me up. Not many very large companies still have the boss kicking around and i love to see it. Shame there isn’t a vid off the previous night bet that kicked ass!
Your interviews are always stellar. Congenial friendly conversations with mutual respect and genuine appreciation for music, musicians and instruments. Rock on Andertons!
What a fun video!!! I love watching videos with Paul. I envy you for being at the show Orianthi gifted her Private Stock to my favorite singer/guitarist Dany from The Warning! ⚡ 🔥🤘
I remember when PRS first came out it doesn't seem that long ago , I have a Guitarist magazine with a story of how PRS was born , it tells how Paul made a guitar and took it to Carlos Santana to use , great story and a great guitar company. I did a set up on a PRS for a friend and fell in love with it , I bought a brand new SE 24 which I still have and is still going strong , and then sold some other guitar's to get my full fat US PRS which I absolutely love . Great guitar's I still haven't tried the John Mayer PRS yet need to get round to it.
...I just remembered, Jack is the guy who was given head of building the PRSE DGT in Indonesia. I remember the video, where they showed him driving a blue 86/BRZ to PRS headquarters in USA.
@@BGsea True but I don't want one :) I've had two SEs, very well made and great value - looked at the core models but decided to sell the SEs and go all American Fender and Gibson because they were the guitars of my youth, so somehow just have more mojo.
@@willhaylock3769 Fender and Gibson are great. I'm like a person that likes excellent varietal wines, particular assemblages, and vintages when it comes to guitars. If it sounds good, feels good, resonates, and is balanced I'll play it if given a chance
Paul always makes remarks that could be taken as sarcastic and semi insulting, or not. You never can tell if he's joking or being passive aggressive. Being around those personality types always makes me uncomfortable.
He’s often joking or being brutally honest. I don’t think he’s ever passive aggressive. But I think the problem is that you’re looking at his personality and making assumptions that he might be intentionally mean based on his attitude and the tone of his voice sending negative messages. But people like Paul speak literally, not in hidden messages. Even when he’s joking it’s just a joke with no other meaning. You just need to understand his words to know what he’s saying, there’s no need to look for the other message. He’s a simple man who says what he thinks.
I love the story of PRS. I've played about seven of their guitars and only one interested me, but the neck was too skinny at the nut. It's not about the looks for me. The one I liked was painted a solid color. Time will tell if they ever make something that I love.
Great guitars, seems like a great guy. How do you sound different using the same types of pickup tech, pickup placement, the same pots and caps, scale lengths, same everything really but maybe different shapes. An eq can change things dramatically instantly, so somebody tell me.
I’m still wrapping my head around how much better the Silver Sky John Mayer is than every single Custom Shop Fender Strat I own. I don’t get it. I mean I do….but I don’t. Damn.
I've tried many times to like them since the 1980s, but just can't. Not for me. If you like them, then all power to you. I can't say for sure what a PRS sounds like. I can pick a Telecaster when I hear it. I can pick a Les Paul. I can pick a Strat. I can even pick EMGs in a Superstrat most of the time. I can't tell it's a PRS being played though unless I can see it, or it's Carlos playing. Maybe I need to floss my lugholes, e.g., you thread the floss through one ear and out the other; then wiggle back it and forth cleaning both at once. Try it sometime. 😆
It's funny - if I had to compare my PRS guitars sonically to anything, I'd say a Gibson SG. But the neck and body are not for everyone. I don't like the edge of the guitar sticking into my forearm. That's one reason I play an SE and an S2. The other reason is money.
Gotta love Paul. An actual player who makes and improves guitars for 40 years at top tier quality, and didn’t sell out to an investment firm.
I can't stand him. Will NEVER buy any of his guitars.
@@NeungViewrage bait
@@NeungView Interesting, he's never done anything to me, but I don't like him either, I don't know, just vibes

What a smarmy arrogant guy. Can’t stand PRs.
Paul never seems like he wants to sell guitars and just wants to have a great time! What a genuine dude
Agreed😂😂😂 he has a lot of fun with Lee and Pete
That's a total sales tactic thats really effective!!
I totally disagree. As soon as the camera goes on he is in sales mode. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Personality-wise that is absolutely true - and yet his artist affiliate and marketing program is 🎯
It's nice to hear Paul actually say the words "Fender" and "Strat" when referencing that stuff and not "S type" and all that
AMEN.
Man Paul's energy and excitement is contagious. My SE since I started has been carrying for me the last 10 years, and after this it might be the perfect time for an upgrade!
Lee & Paul together in one video. Always a treat

I always enjoy watching Lee trying to keep Paul on track in the conversation. always entertaining.
Paul doesn't wanna talk guitars he just wants to shoot the shit with his buds. Love it.
An episode of The Captain Meets with David Grissom would be amazing! 😎
Paul is always a trip. And I’m glad to know they’re making the NF in a SE. I may need one at some point.
Same here. Holding out for the Myles Kennedy SE alternatively 🤞
What a wonderful video, capturing Paul and Lee’s friendship and love of guitars. Would love to see Paul back in the UK for another video with Lee and you never know maybe even JM one day.
Gotta love this..... Lee, Paul & Jack.... please keep doing what you each do.... the world is a better place for it 🙂
Fantastic video. Love it.
I've been gigging my Myles Kennedy since it came out and still love it. All I get are compliments and questions
Paul is just a guitar geek that is good at making them.

Paul’s a real inventor - he’s just a passionate guy. Strong personality - I love it.
So Awesome to have a great intelligent guitar player, Paul, who also builds fantastic guitars for us mere mortals!
I love how playful Paul is, love his guitars too
What legends! So cool to see these guys here
Paul Reed Smith, the man, is the real deal! Super amazing human being! 🎸🎶❤️
I always get a laugh when Lee is with Paul Reed Smith, they are awesome! A Captain Meets with John Mayer would be awesome as well! :-)
How can you not love Paul, this guy loves guitars, his artists and the music. ❤
Love Paul, love how much Lee understands him, love all the love here
That looks like a great time.
Meeting the captain would’ve been the icing on the cake for my NAMM experience

YES a PUBCAST, everyone at home or across the world can have a brew with you!!!
Hands down some of the finest quality guitars made !
lol
As usual when Paul shows up, it makes me want to order a PRS from Andertons 👍

I don't know what it is. But I love the clips with Paul and Lee
That was really cool! I want a ticket to that Pubcast! Line up the Glenlivet 25 year single malt!
15 minutes, about 3 of which showcased the guitars. Paul Reed Smith is a 24 carat wild card! 😂
I for one vote hell yes on the pubcast!
Did I miss something?
It looks like PRS doesn’t produce single cut McCarty anymore.
Does anyone know what’s going on?
Thanks.
True Friendship ... Love the stories
Every conversation I’ve had with Paul I walk away feeling educated and having been in front of a genius.
What sweethearts you all are
Guys, thank you for such kind and friendly meeting. Paul is crazy in positive way! God bless you!)
I’m not a huge fan of PRS since I don’t play divorced dad rock but Paul is a true innovator and his guitars are quality.
Paul on euphorics - 40 Years - Gratulations
He didn't like Lee's swearing 😂. He gave the camera a right look
These videos are more psychedelic than Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland combined. Keep it up!
I jumped!😊
It is a pity that they have discontinued the PRS DC3 model ; those were good guitars within the PRS catalogue .

When do we see the Fiore in the SE line ?
12:01 ‘…..They are good nights…they are good times…..’😮😮😮 uhhhhh…… is The Captain having ‘Diddy parties’ with PRS?!?!😂😂😂jk
Philip Sayce at prs anniversary show I can’t find any video of that!
Every interview with Paul and Lee is so awkward. But in a good way!
This just makes me love Paul even more!!!! What a gem of a human being!!!
9:24 yeah? In Private Stock some things are possible. But try to get a hardtail CU24 (just don't need the trem) and they aren't doing it.
Mon the Lagavulin! 💪

I'm trying to listen to the story but all I can focus on is the satin blue guitar behind Lee
Is Paul and Mayer's performance available to watch anywhere ?
Wish you had covered the acoustics, I'm considering the a60e would like to see a blindfold test between it and other brands in the same price range!
I can't help but wonder what the meeting is about at the table on the right with the tablet. 😅
A 37 yr old Lagavulin is probably the same price as a Dragon

No Paul’s guitar in the line up is just a very interesting observation..
I believe it was "dive bar Indian food"
i bought a green custom 24 with a guitar center credit card in 2010 and then i never paid the credit card bill. still my best guitar.
🤣
I’m buying whatever Paul sells!
I LOVE MY PRS GUITARS…..🌈❤️⚡️⚡️
I suspect there’s still a tiny bit of alcohol still in the system.
I’ve watched a few vids of Lee at namm and I’m convinced he is steaming drunk the whole time
Wish I could have seen that performance but I'm sure there are many cell phone videos
We need to see the full vid of that show! C'mon quit teasing us with diddly-sh*t clips!
Mr Smith, please, please, please make more purple guitars!
What’s the English equivalent of Denny’s?
Has sorted his basses yet?
I’m still wrapping my head around how much better the Silver Sky John Mayer is than every single Custom Shop Fender Strat I own. I don’t get it. I mean I do….but I don’t. Damn.
Well it looks like prs does have a booth at namm
I suggest PRS was being diplomatic about the touching I think he’d rather not be touched.
❤
Why doesn't anyone ask about working with Philip Sayce?
Paul and Lee always put a smile on my face.. That custom though.. The most beutiful thing ever..

The new tuner buttons horrible looking ..😢
Still no PRS HSS SE guitar? Damn ! 😴
But Mayer playing a Fender still sounds like him playing a PRS 😂
Very impressive. Getting a few words out of the very shy and retiring PRS.
