  • The Magnetic Levitation System (MLS) is a complex laboratory system, widely used in universities to demonstrate both simple and more complex control algorithms. MLS is a highly nonlinear system with fast dynamics, unstable in open loop, with a small degree of natural damping. It has a limited range of control input, which increases the requirements for its control. All the mentioned properties of MLS makes modeling and control tasks more complex.
The video shows interactive demonstration of the program called easyMLS, which was created for a simplified control design of magnetic levitation system. This program is programmed in such a way that the user does not need to have previous knowledge of this type of system, but to be able to try magnetic levitation control as quickly and easily as possible. The program is modular, which means that it can be extended and is therefore suitable for use in education and research.
