Think VERY carefully before you purse a PhD at a seminary. There are far more PhD graduates than there are jobs. What will you do with your degree? How certain are you that you will find work? Could you do that job without a PhD? Maybe you could work for a few years to establish yourself in ministry and get experience before you pursue a PhD so that you are more likely to have work after graduation. Otherwise, you could end up spending years (and a load of money and effort) on a degree that you will never use. SEBTS does a very poor job of supporting its graduates looking for work, but they never hesitate to ask those same graduates for donations every year.
