Great video. Thanks for that. Very helpful and clear intructions. I will never use the pyrolytic function again - my cracked on the first time using this feature. Poor design.
Great video, thanks. What are the two 'U'-shaped adhesive pads for that also come with the replacement glass. They are in your box and mine but I'm not sure where they go. Any thoughts?
At timecode 1:52 you can see the existing ones in place next to the hinges on the old door. The original ones were still in good condition so I didn't use the new ones.
Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry but I can't see them. The pads I'm refering to are those stuck on the yellow foam in your plastic bag at 1:52. Do they go next to the hinges as you suggest? It isn't the two plastic clips that hold the glass in place but the 'U'shaped foam pads I'm unsure of. Thanks again for your help.
@@ianblick1 Perhaps they go under the metal side clips at 7:00. There weren't any similar pads when I took the door apart, and I didn't use the new ones from the box. The oven has been in daily use for over a year now without them, so I don't think they are that vital. Cheers.
Hi, what a find this video is! I have a Siemens oven with a near identical door. The bottom stretchy seal with metal clips had perished but wasn’t obvious where it clips onto. Siemens (BSH) flatly refused to tell me for health & safety reasons. Any way of letting me know exactly where the clips fit on - is it onto the glass (before the final internal moulded pane), or onto the frame? Thanks very much!
My inner square glass has a 'right above' but not the outer one with the hinge cutouts at the bottom. Does the side with the grey boarder coating face into the oven or into the door? Thank you.
@@ianpurcell7266 I think the guy got an entire new oven on his insurance. He was just throwing the old one out to get rid of it. There was nothing wrong with it apart from the broken inner door, so for us it was worth the cost of the replacement glass.
Thank you Sir. Our inner glass completely shattered and you saved me over $200 by teaching how to replace it myself. Very grateful
You're welcome!
Thank you my mrs is well happy 👍👍 the video helped out loads
No problem 👍
great round of applause at end, well done
Great video- thanks for the detail. I had to just clean the inner glass.
Excellent video. Many thanks.
Glad you liked it!
you explain the process so well
thankyou

Glad it helped! It seems the pyrolytic function causes a lot of problems with this model of oven.

I've realised that the great must face into the door otherwise the grey coating would get scratched!
Thank you sir you perform the vidéo that need
Most welcome
🙂🙂🙂
thanks
I don't like wastage but the oven door is almost half the price of the oven.I would have replaced the oven.
That's how I got the oven. The guy replaced it and we got his old one. We shopped around until we got a door for around half of the asking price.
@@jaynepaul-mostlycooking8085 Ohhh I see.So you bought a second hand oven is that correct.
