The fireplace is making crackling sounds which means it's a wood-burning fireplace. This is not realistic in the real world since city code in most modern cities after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 don't allow wood-burning fireplaces in any modern residential multi-story buildings due to fire hazard and the number of lives at stake from the risk of just one moron resident accidently starting a fire. The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 destroyed 17,000 building structures and left 100,000 residents homeless ... though, the number of deaths was surprising low at 300 people. The only places you will see wood-burning fireplaces now would be in homes outside of city limits or in structures within the cities that were grandfathered ... though cities have recently been passing new laws that outlaw even these grandfathered fireplaces requiring removal or retrofitting to gas-burning fireplaces. So, in the real world, you would only see gas-burning fireplaces in a modern high-rise residential building, as in the case of this video. Gas-burning fireplaces don't make crackling sounds.
@Adam Sabah YES! Whoever can afford a home like that can certainly afford a high-end sound system that makes wood-crackling noises. The sound has already been recorded for them ... they just play the sound from this 8-hour video!

Imagine it's October. Friday. Long week of work behind you and nothing planned for the weekend except laundry on Sunday. Dinner was a homemade pasta dish with a nice glass of red wine. The faint smell of garlic and wine still waft over your apartment. The gloomy Friday sky thickens and turns into a misty rain. Perfect time to sit with another glass on the bed, with the fire crackling behind, and a good book.
I love this. Live in Toronto though so you can spend a Million Dollars on a tiny but gorgeous bachelor condo so that you can spend the entire weekend in it and do nothing but relax look at the view of Toronto but dont enjoy any of the entertainment in Toronto because you cant afford to go out, because all of your money went to a place to live.
I found this video two days ago and I simply am just in love with the atmosphere you have manage to create. From the rain drops and rain hitting the windows, to the flicker of the fire bouncing off the walls and ceiling. The seamless transition of rendered 3d assets to the stock photo you used of Toronto in the background is just perfect. This is an art piece and i find myself just watching as if i’m really there inside of the apartment. Thank you for making this and I plan on falling asleep to this video for many nights
