The tragedy of his character is that he was a really good person in an absolutely horrible world. If he was selfish he absolutely would’ve been possessive of her. Bro was desperately in love with this girl and, time and time again, he put his feelings aside and urged his friend to go for her instead in order for casca and guts to both find happiness in eachother. My guy was such a true bro that even when his life was flickering away, instead of telling casca how he felt, he swallowed his feelings for one last time and threw her a playful jab about her crying. Now Judeau was nothing like this. He wanted the best for Casca, and was well aware that she was in love with Griffith, and surely knew that Guts was a much better and more logical choice for her, even going as far to push Guts to "make a move" ... These are not actions of a simp, these are the actions of a person who deeply cares for the person they like. Sure you can reference Judeau's last thoughts but he was mere seconds from dying and even then he did not confess, he just thought how he never told her the important thing. Judeau was probably the most emotionally intelligent of all the band, by far and with his extensive travels had tons of knowledge, about supernatural even. Remember, they were all very young plus were mercenaries, any day could be their last, most of them were single. If anyone was a simp it would be Corkus hahah but even thats debatable. I guess Gennon simped for that Grifussy but ehh.. thats another story.

I was really hoping for that as well and considered this theory. I think perhaps towards the completion of Berserk's final chapters that maybe Miura had in his plans to have the original Band of the Hawk's souls saved, including Judeau's. Since they were still branded, that somehow in the end that curse would've been lifted and their souls' freed. They had shown that of Scheirke's mentor's spirit assisting her in the afterlife, so.. who knows? Also that their comrades may also take part in their vengeance against Griffith and the Godhand. Since as we see in Berserk, different layers of the afterlife and consciousness exist. Somehow the cursed brand on Guts and Casca must be lifted eventually in order to permanently remove the curse.. Or else their final fate continues to remain cursed in the afterlife just like their comrades. Thus, I think their brand will somehow be lifted towards the ending chapters and maybe they'll see the spirits of the Band of the Hawk and hopefully their cursed brands also removed and their spirit's freed, even if they meet them only once more. Just another wishful guess. Yet I think it would bring somewhat closure..
