With the straw in the diet. Why are some people really obsessed with the chop length? Is it wasted energy them cudding it themselves? Also would you say that having straw available in the diet for yearlings on good silage and a few kg of nuts is essential even if you had to buy it in?
@tomaswall6935 probably not essential for weanlings as not trying to maximise growth. Chop length is important because the shorter straw is the more straw ends there is to scratch the rumen
