I remember when this first dropped & man how time flies.. (I was 17 , I’m 24 now) a great friend of mine showed me atlas back then & I don’t see the guy at all anymore just ghosted everyone. Regardless I saw my friend grow up & atlas make it out of soundcloud! Thank you for your great music Mr Atlas. 🌎
When I first heard this song on a random lofi radio, I was in 2nd year of high school. Nearly graduating college and I still come back to it every now and then after so many years. The lyrics touch my heart every time, it’s an all time go to melancholy song. Thanks atlas❤
I found this song in a fucking meme compilation 5 years ago and it has literally stuck with me and the friends I’ve shown this to all throughout. Tysm :) Back then this video only had like 20 comments.
here before it blew up, used to be my ex’s and i song. although it was toxic in the end, at first it was my first love and i’ll never have love like that again. so, this song will always live somewhere in my heart as much as it hurts
*I'm posting lyrics by what I hear so please bear with me haha XD* If this city was a kingdom I'd want you to rule with me So worried for your safety After all our tomfoolery And I I'm probably freakin' out foolishly I just don't want the next thing that I write to be a eulogy In your honor And I know you'd hate it too All the petty little things I'd associate with you like Stairwells, night vale, and beautiful smiles like Tyco, instruments, and 300 miles like Happiness, elated afternoons in the shade like Long car trips and trying to move where it rains, like Never thinkin' twice but always usin' your brain and like Sherlock Holmes and every tune that you sang like Pie, baking, Seattle, or Portland or Lack of good fortune Kisses in the mornin' Mathmetical equations Empty night skies Bonfires, poetry, and livin' life right and there's Beaches, boats, sailing, togetherness The feelin' that you're smilin' even brighter When the weather's shit Tellin' all my friends that I was happy when I gotcha And there's coffee shop dates and certainly Sinatra Meetin' every mornin' and consotrin' by your locker How the first time that we kissed you that you're not much of a talker Nearly 8 months later I think you had it backwards I asked who you were, said you're cute, you were flattered Now our story's gotta fill with happily forever afters And I don't think I could've fallen for you any faster
This song got me into atlas through some anime video edit I came across on Instagram in 2014ish I think. Little did I know that one clip of eulogy changed my whole direction in music taste and my over all maturity. I shifted my perspectives and grew to be a more understanding person. I grew into who I am as atlas grew into who she is and I think that’s why the connection to this artist has lasted so long for me. Following every few weeks hear new song that some how captivated exactly what I was feeling. I fell in love with people through atlas’s music creating memories I will never forget. Atlas I hope someone else out there had this same experience. ❤ thx for everything Luna
I’ve been listening to Atlas for the past seven years and i can only wish that they do blow up and become more known. Their music is so amazing and deserves more recognition.
I've been listening to Atlas Sand for the past year and never thought to move past and look up other songs from Atlas because I found it from a lofi binge. Now it feels like I've stumbled upon gold; this makes me happy and sad all at once.
my ex boyfriend used to sing this song to me- he was rly abusive and cheated on me for five months and after 6 months of being broken up i can finally listen to this and not hurt
Kitty Bomb Ditty I’m really sorry that happened to you...you’re so strong for pushing through, and making this not letting this song be ruined by that awful toxicity 💖💖
man it hurts to see how everything in the world changed so much since 4 years ago when i was in 6th grade. atlas and another guy i forgot the name of helped me out so much i just hope people dont ruin this song specifically
I love you atlas you helped me right when I stopped getting sa'd I found you at 12 and I disappeared into your music you brought me serenity when I had none and I love you forever for that thank you for giving me support as a kid I'm 22 now and I love you forever and always
Sometimes you must hurt in order to know, fall in order to grow, lose in order to gain, because life's greatest lessons are learned through pain and failure

Why the hell is this not on Spotify??? It's amazing!
It costs to create an album on spotify so people use soundcloud, which is a free platform to upload on

@@toastynick8054 bro read the replies it says so lmao
What everyone else said but he also hates the person the songs about so that might be part of it too

If this city was a kingdom
I'd want you to rule with me
So worried for your safety
After all our tomfoolery
And I I'm probably freakin' out foolishly
I just don't want the next thing that I write to be a eulogy
In your honor
And I know you'd hate it too
All the petty little things I'd associate with you like
Stairwells, night vale, and beautiful smiles like
Tyco, instruments, and 300 miles like
Happiness, elated afternoons in the shade like
Long car trips and trying to move where it rains, like
Never thinkin' twice but always usin' your brain and like
Sherlock Holmes and every tune that you sang like
Pie, baking, Seattle, or Portland or
Lack of good fortune
Kisses in the mornin'
Mathmetical equations
Empty night skies
Bonfires, poetry, and livin' life right and there's
Beaches, boats, sailing, togetherness
The feelin' that you're smilin' even brighter
When the weather's shit
Tellin' all my friends that I was happy when I gotcha
And there's coffee shop dates and certainly Sinatra
Meetin' every mornin' and consotrin' by your locker
How the first time that we kissed you that you're not much of a talker
Nearly 8 months later
I think you had it backwards
I asked who you were, said you're cute, you were flattered
Now our story's gotta fill with happily forever afters
And I don't think I could've fallen for you any faster
*belated

People saying how they think this song is depressing clearly haven't read the lyrics, it's a good upbeat song about love man.
