Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn -

- Thanks to Auto Vogel & Partner AG in Switzerland, Cor had the opportunity to drive a 70 years old Rolls-Royce , with not even 120.000 km on the clock and only 3 owners from new.
THis car comes from an era, that not even every Rolls_Royce was equiped with an automatic gearbox. No the gears needed to be changed manually. But ithey were perfectly synchronized. Strangely this car was RHD, although it was delivered new to Zürich in Switzerland. The gear lever was at the right though, which made it not very easy to get in and out of the car. All in all a tremendous experience to follow all the time the Spirit of Extasy. - Авто та транспорт
Showed my mother this video and she started crying. After her father had retired (he'd been working with the British in Iraq when it still was under their de facto rule and then later at the Iraq Petroleum Company himself) Her dad had imported one from Britain to Iraq in the mid 50s, I believe, and he'd always take her on roadtrips, chauffeuring her around like if she was royalty in 50s-60s Baghdad. On his death bed he wanted it sold so my uncle could open his second business. Seeing the interior brought back a lot of memories for her. Thank you!
Thank you very much for sharing this amazing story!
Thankyou . Great presentation from you. Excellent views of beautiful Rolls Royce and interior along with your great narrative. Cheers, John (Australia)
Thank you very much John.
What a beautiful classis Rolls-Royce. Very stylish and funny presented.
You dont have to go fast you just have to go. It's a gorgeous car that aspires people! Good job.
To be honest I am a person who loves to go fast. But driving a Rolls-Royce is always very special, so speed does not matter, but it is the ambience that counts.
She's beautiful and just run-in. Can't imagine what she would be worth. It's great that Rolls Royce went back to cars after building umpteen war winning Merlons. So enjoyed the drive following the lady.
Yes she is beautiful even after 70 years.
What an elegant Royce rolls...i imagine Gansters movies in 1940s ....by the way i liked when you sang a nice song hehe
Thank you very much Victor. Once in a while I sing in my videos. Look at the video about the Ford Mustang from 1966, where I sing an Area from an Opera. Because of Manchester I came to this idea, to sing a few lines from the Musical Hair in this video.
very rare good condition notto hugh and build for driver comfortable. Great i love this rolls royce too thankyyou 🌷🌷🌷
“Just follow the lady”! Great job Cor!

@@fmacdonald5442 does size matter 🤣🤣🤣
It always paints a smile on my face seeing You indroducing the cars within the right athmosphere... to collect all this background informations must take lots of time...go on, Cor...
Actually that is not the biggest job. The editing takes the most time. Some hours at least
Thanks for this nice vid , Cor, very learnfull and entertaining , until next time!

Magnificent! 👑
Thank you very much!
Cool car good video
Thanks a lot
Very nice vid, lovely colour scheme. They are surprisingly agile for such an upright looking car. Put radial tyres on it and the only limitations are the brakes even with the servo.
Very skilled presentation
Keep em comin
Thank you very much!

Great video Cor
Are you related to Phil Boesma, Liverpool centre forward
Have a good day
No, I am not aware of any relatives in England. I was born in The Netherlands and grew up partly in Germany. And live the biggest part of my life in Switzerland.
It is spelt Derby but called "Darbey ."
Where’s the umbrella
No umbrella needed on that sunny day 🤣
@@DrivingwithGloves I apologize , I was asking where is it In general. The his and hers umbrella location? I heard they have a secret compartment. Thank you for your wonderful video and beautiful Silver Dawn
@@thodieousk5853 no need to apologize. I really do not know of it had an umbrella. Was the hidden umbrella thing not introduced by BMW?
Very nice but really an antique when it was made. The owner undoubtedly enjoyed the unique and nostalgic aspects. So foolish of you not to have worn the seat belt. But it's your life.
Yes, it drove also very antique. The seatbelts would not in the least fulfill todays safety standards, so from my perpective it would have more been a death trap than it would have increased my safety. But you have sharp eyes!
@@DrivingwithGloves You're probably right.
Go Away you fool.
be nice to see the car rather than you
Watch the video, than you see the car!
