@@AlbertaRose94 lol! It's not always like that, as a matter of fact, my experience is when you join a good team, the unity and connection it's purely spiritual. You communicate with each other without even seeing or saying anything, or even rehearsing it. It all comes from the heart. I've been blessed to be apart of two teams now that this is the case. Trust me you know when the holy spirit Is anointing the team, and when it's just people and their problems playing. You can feel it from the seats in the congregation. When the Holy Spirit is not there, you get what this video and what im joking about. It definitely happens out there

Every big Non-denominational church is like this. The church I used to go to would run every new singer on mute for the first 6 months to test them.

@@kaihlmeades I have attended/served at a large church in the past, and this is literally how it was run. I'm not about to call out the church hee on UA-cam because it has been a few years and it might have changed, IDK. I do know that, in my experience with smaller churches, you don't run into these things as much.

I've been blessed so much by the American church where I am so this is not accurate...besides He is in us so "when then they see me they will see you" song by Sal Ly
What I mean by "American" church is the American culture of promoting "me and money" instead of the Kingdom culture of promoting Jesus and our need of a savior. There are many churches here in America that are kingdom minded and I am glad you found one!
This was seriously hysterical!! I was stomping the floor the entire time. I lead worship and we have the somebody like that who wanted to join the worship team... My mic when I'm not leading gets muted or I'm turned down and my name is Chris too and I've been back on worship for like 3 years! 😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂😭😭💀
So people’s mics are generally muted unless they are leading?
@@lindseyhussey6450 Well we stream so sometimes the person who controls the mics on the sound system doesn't turn the mics on I'm muted. Turning down they say I sing too loud 😂😂
@@picantesworld7723Thanks, I was wondering because my church does the same thing. you can usually only hear the leads which is like 3 people may 4 but there is usually and additional 3 to 5 people that you can't hear at all. I wondered why even have the others up there lol, thanks for the insight

The greenroom is the most accurate thing it's the worship team on their phones drinking coffee and they only watch to see when they have to come back up
What even is a green room?
I come from a 500 people church in Germany and our musicians sit in the front rows, close to the instruments and participate as anyone else. I'm quite amazed by the scale of the American churches
@@DJSudermann I literally just left a giant church and we moved to our old one because this is how they are a green room is just a room with couches usually surrounding a tv that plays the sermon it has a bunch of iPhone and laptop chargers there is usually food and coffee and water for the worship team I have no idea why it’s called the green room but generally they all look like that
A green room is a term from Hollywood... It's where talent (actors/singers) sit and wait to go on stage, a room where they can relax. There are snacks and drinks inside or nearby.
I found this really weird. I go to a fairly large church and the worship team comes and sits with everyone when they are done and go back up when it's time.
@@Arp477 yep but it goes even further back though. The origin is lost to history but some stories date back as far as 1599 London and Blackfriars theatre.

yikes soooo true. Always amazed me how the worship team never sat in on the sermon or barely even knew their bible. Best part is pre soundchecks. They would be fighting with each other but then say the old “Its such a blessing to be here with this amazing team.”

@@Arp477 It always amazes me. I have worked before at a large church and others as well. I have always noticed how the younger worship members are always thinking they are above everyone
The musicians would never stay for the sermon. I wasn't sure if they were members somewhere else and just working for our church. But it's an important job. I want to know they are fed spiritually too .. somewhere.

This is why when we church shopped, before we converted to orthodoxy, we stopped telling the churches about our skills ot talents. Guess what we found out, if you don't take the fast track to the church click they don't have a place for you

I was on a worship team in Montana with a kid who played guitar. The sound guys never turned him on in the house, only in our monitors. When we all found that out the kid left the church.
Poor kid. It was a waste of time and nobody approached the issue directly.

The green room thing is SO accurate
As someone who grew up with a dad on staff at a large church and has since been involved in different churches at various levels (worship team included), I didn't laugh once at this. It was like watching a documentary rather than a skit.
I am excited for the next one, these are really funny.

My church should have Pastor bingo. I swear I hear walk alongside, do life together, and be intentional at 20 times in one service. I go to a megachurch and I remember a few years ago that the former senior pastor's son was the college pastor at my church. He was awful even though a lot of people loved his preaching. I thought he was a bit dumb. He used to quote song lyrics to tie in to his sermons.
He did this every time he preached. I remember he quoted Grenade, The Right Stuff and The Backstreet Boys " As Long As You Love Me".
Don't have his mic on....reminds me of that Andy Griffith episode where Barney thought he was a talented opera singer. Funny!

New favorite series
I'm amazed that this is how it is. In my (modern) church the worship team (or one person) sits in front and sometimes leads the meeting too, before the preacher comes on. I am a part of the screen team and those who need it gets an outline of the sermon and often it says "musicians can go up", sometimes the preacher tells the musicians to go up and sometimes s/he says "when I start this story, you can come". We even have a schedule that everyone gets that's not set in stone, but shows the main order of the service. I thought that that was the most "American" thing of all I have mentioned above, but I guess not.
