I had the pleasure of seeing her perform recently - to a ridiculously barren room in Fishtown - Philadelphia (I guess it was an Eagles Football game that night), and we were the Lucky Ones! It was a lovely show, and her voice, despite being a little tired from touring - was finally nuanced, and resonant! I actually think she's more amazing live. She also spent time out amongst the few people in the room, and was very gracious in showing her support of the 2 opening acts. She's incredibly focused, and dedicated, and I wish her a lot of true success. She is a rare talent, and deeply soulful - and "Solitary Daughter" is bound to be a classic...an incredibly fine song!
as someone who almost never listens to this genre of music, her music, singing and lyrics are fascinating to me. and i cant wait to hear more of her songs when they come out.
Thank you for giving us more of Ms. Korkejian, the artist, before the first note and after the last. Her beautiful music is a distillation of her complete person. Audiences rarely are allowed backstage. She is a treasure.
