Yes,Sir that is true!
Will it eventually be required for all pharmacists to complete a residency in order to work in a hospital?
Its all going to depend on what happens with the new health care reform as well and how it will affect reimbursement rates as well as the presidential election outcome.
Hello, very nice information .What are your thoughts abt opportunity, job security and salary of LTC vs Retail pharmacist.Thank you.
I think u should do a video on HOW to study for different classes in pharmacy school. I'm in pharmacy school in Brazil and i'm strugling whith Biochemestry =( pleeeeaaase!
Do internships and rotations with the right people. Make sure to be in pharmacy organizations and be active in your community. This is how you build your network and connections. DON'T ever be afraid to ask for help or be embarrassed. Don't be afraid to fail.
My opinion is that retail pharmacy is a dying field in the long run. Just heard from colleagues that they are getting pay cuts in retail, tough hours, and less tech help. LTC is a growing field because of the baby boomers, more and more patients need to be stuck in nursing homes. This is just my opinion, obviously time will tell what will happen, can't predict it 100%
So what type of pharmacist are you?
I've talked to pharmacy directors and other higher management and it seems they are pushing for it, especially ASHP
I think eventually this will probably happen
How does one become a Long Term Care Pharmacist?
I was recently offered a position at a LTC facility and Im currently at a mail order pharmacy. What would you say is a better position in the long run? In terms of future job prospects (ex Hospital), what is a better resume builder? (Recent grad with no residency)
The better chance would be working with IVs
Hospital Inpatient Staff and Long Term Care Staff
Diverse services provided to people of all ages with chronic conditions and functional limitations" .. is this another definition of it ?
Nope didn't get one. Honestly its all about who you know and your connections that get you the job. Its not so much based on your credentials. Of course it will help but with todays market, knowing people to get you the job is more important in my opinion.
