I was there today, Friday, filming from the ground. I saw one of the huge cross girders of Dominique move towards the front. Always a bit pot luck whether i see anything significant! Anyway I'll publish this weekend.
Only nearly there over the water but you can see the piers disappearing into the distance so the bridge building will continue for several more months. A security guard told me at Easter there were 8 months left to complete.
Very interesting! I'll have to view this a few times as it's unclear where the Harvill road is, and the numbering of the piers. But it looks like many months of filming for PetertheRock ahead! Thanks!
You can try to walk down to Dews farm as it's a public access road, and technically they can't stop you. I went in the car to the site car park and it's great there...
So she is up to the last V pier I make it number 14, and it looks like they have some temporary propping at pier 13 for some reason. Great views of Dews Farm thanks...👍👍👍...
Thanks Stephen. I’ll cede that to you.. in my last video I think I mistakenly quoted remaining piers.. I never got used to working backwards from pier no 56, 55…👍👍
@@stevetony6876 Yes, I all ways remember Pier 20-19 on each side of the Grand U Canal.... I managed to get one of my drone shots of 19-18-17 up onto the Wickipida page after a month of working on it...
Yes I think there’s 3 in total across the viaduct, a recent video I filmed showing the first… again they’re using the same temporary supports for Dominique to rest on. Also the next couple or so piers they seem to be working on still…👍
Beautiful video! 🙌🙌
It just hit me in this video how striking and beautiful the viaduct actually looks
Even if you don't agree with HS2, you just have to say 'wow' to these civil/structural/architectural works. Fantastic stuff.
Great drone footage and amazing aerial view. 👍👍👍Thanks for sharing. Subbed and Liked.👍👍👍

Love your videos mate, that was great coverage of an area round the portal you haven’t filmed before. Great job 👍
Thanks Sean!. There’s been quite alot of change around the portal area and it was pleasing to capture some of it in action. 👍🙏
Great progress here! Dominique making the leap to the last pier in the water.
Smooth video with great perspective, thanks QM😊
Thanks Simon for your comment. It’s appreciated. 👍
Your turn Mr C 😉
Yes I agree! Excellent progress!
Good vid, QM. From space we can tell that Dom has less than 500 metres to go until touchdown. Keep 'em coming 👍

So close to landfall- exciting!

I really must have a look!
The span P12P13 is an expansion span, erected on props, with expansion joints at P12 and P13.
@@erwanvicat4625 Thanks yes like at Moorhall Road, I wonder if Dominique will lift in the segments or a crane...??
nearly back on dry land again caroline
It looks like the first pier on land 13 and 14 will be a Expansion portal span as in the crossing of Moorhall Road.... you can see them at 0.42 😂😂😂

Stupid project, gorgeous viaduct.
Thanks for watching. 👍
