This game is actually quite thematic for the channel with all the egg collecting.
Trans Rights.
@@Silverhawk100I mean you're right but I'm not sure how it's related to the egg collecting
@@irecordwithaphone1856 An egg is trans-slang for someone who hasn't realized they are trans yet. See also "cracking your egg."
@@Silverhawk100 Jon's not an egg, he's the whole damn carton, lol
I did not ever expect to be afraid of a weiner dog. That thing was scarier than god dog thing
"no idea what I can do to make [the depraved egg] morally wrong?"
This is after years of calling us good eggs
you haven't even scratched the surface. I can't wait to see you go down this rabbit hole.
Go down this animal well
This is a great game, with some really tough puzzles and lots of stuff hidden throughout.
Also, Jon, a metroidvania game is one where you explore, acquire gear or abilities that let you explore even more to eventually get through the game. This is very much a metroidvania game and nearly every item you find (other than the collectables) upgrades your movement or provides some way to manipulate your environment so you can get past the stuff blocking you and explore new areas.
UA-cam: Wanna watch this video posted 6 seconds ago? Me: Sure, I wasn't sitting here waiting just for this...
Other generations had fawlty towers and coronation street, it's only fair that we get our regularly scheduled entertainment 😂
(I hope you're British or this comment is going to mean absolutely nothing to you 😅)
@@JakeTheTrouserSnake not British, but I do enjoy Fawlty towers! :D
@@thebryang glad it wasn't lost on you! I have to admit, British TV just isn't the same as it was when fawlty towers was on, I miss that show!
Ok... That ghost dog demon thing was waaay creepier than it had to be
it had to be
The dog is relatively tame compared to some of the later enemies
"Dog" lmfao
@@griffinmckenzie7203 Is it not a dog?
@@Sagemel That's a cat, bud. Triangle ears and whiskers.
The stealth Dunkey collab
My fan fic has never seemed closer
This looks almost exactly like that game Jon covered a while back we’re it’s a multiplayer puzzle platformer where you all play different animals with different abilities
I thought the same thing!
But this is like evil
Some of the puzzles in this game are crazy
Ah, frustrating! The room where Jon could just walk through and he couldn't see it! I was thinking, have I missed something? No, it was Jon! Thanks for the stream, what a weird and cool game!
The question is will we ever see Jon play Rain World
This
Those title screen rabbits are cramming more judgmental look into relatively few pixels than I would have expected possible.
I saw Pirate Software playing this recently. Doubt Jon will get as far.
Yeah I watched him as well, some of the puzzles are insane
This game is terrifying
Second YTber I've seen cover this game, and Jon's experience was so different to theirs - I think this might be a really good game, and very well designed
Yes it was Johnny, of course it was
I definitely want a live stream
It would be an adorable live stream
Reminds me more of Zelda then Metroid
Be the second Zeldavania in my wishlist
I’d pay quite a bit to see how Jon reacts to The Manticore
I'd love to see a livestream of this
Not enough people here are clamoring for a live stream!
it is listed as a metroidvania, and the dev says its a metroidvania map, but that's the only medtroidvania element. it has no real combat, no leveling system. its almost a pure puzzle game with a huge and engaging map.
Metroidvanias don't need a levelling system. You 'level up' by finding key objects that give you new abilities or ways of interacting with the world to progress.
My take, its a metroid like but not a metroidvania, although I wouldn't bring it up. The vania part of Metroidvanias does indicate combat and levelling up/getting stronger outside of the abilities you get, as those were the elements the castalevania games added to the metroid foumla, which created the metroidvaina genre.
@@samuelturner6076I also should have clarified that I think it's an amazing game, just that it feels more accurate to describe it as a puzzle platformer than anything else. Metroidvania is one of those fan defined genres and I see games tagged with it these days that bear no resemblance to super metroid and symphony of the night, the first games that really started defining that feel.
@@TallDarknGruesome I basically agree. I’d still say Metroidlike from what I’ve seen but puzzle platformer is also an accurate description.
I couldn't remember the name of this game a while back and ended up getting Rain World by mistake (in a cheap bundle - so no harm done). Not quite the same.
That looked like a ghost cat to me, just saying...
I would really like him to finally play kotor, mass effect legendary edition 2 amd 3
This game reminds me of Rain World
I thought the same thing
I wouldn't be shocked if that was one of the inspirations for Animal Well
Cats....
Now das a good game.
The thing reminds me of Meatwad LOL so odd.
Rainworld vibes
ew whyd you turn off scanlines :/
Day 113 of requesting Age of Mythology (a full play through if possible)
This game feels similar to that one with the cards and photos and bone tokens, in the sense that it seems absolutely dense with secret meanings and hidden lore but looks absolutely bonkers from outside
Star Control date 0099!!
The Juffo Wup is tingling and glowing with excitement to humbly request that Jon play Star Control 2.
It is, again, his favorite game, regardless of whether or not he's ever played it.

Day 39 of requesting Jon play Okami HD
😊
😍
It's interesting, but not interesting enough for me to play it.
I, for one, will not tolerate this vicious anti-dog propaganda! Gods it's impressively creepy, for how little it actively tries to be creepy, very cool, but not for me!
Dude I heard this game is like Halo 2 meets Halo 3!
My current GOTY! Why aren't more content creators playing this game?!
I think it is second place for me. Teardown is number 1. (Technically came out in Nov on Playstation, but I only played it this year)
Looked at steam and it has almost 8,7k reviews, holy heck this game has an audience!
This is the one where to get the after-the-end reward you need to learn bunary code.
I'm gonna watch this video till it catches up to where I am. I'll come back when I finish the game
I should never have expected Jon to get too far in a single half hour video
Livestream would be awesome. I've just hit the credits for the first time and the rabbit hole goes way deeper then you would expect.
Cool video eggboy
Is doggo still a good boy? 😝🤪😜
Day 134/1230 of requesting Jon play a game nobody will remember, like Majesty: A Fantasy Kingdom Sim.
