    So how much power can you push on stock short block 11-14 3.5 Ecoboost before the rod and piston explode?

    • @mptperformance
      @mptperformance  10 місяців тому

      If you had the fuel system to handle it, 500-550 to the wheels is about the max you want to go before building the motor on the gen1 Ecoboost.

    We are now are nearing the two year mark, and the truck runs fine. I have no hesitation on recommending this modification for daily use... Dan Bremer

    Well, It's been a year, and the truck still runs great. The tune has been fine, and the truck is great as a daily driver. I'd do it again without hesitation --Dan Bremer

    🤔 I think it's time to go ecoboost!

  • @ryanclement5471

    I have a 14 ecoboost and I'm in love, and I was looking these exact turbos and some turbo adaptors with new exhaust running all the way back, but does anybody know if you run just a small tune can an ecoboost run the bigger turbos on a daily? I want some bigger ones but not sacrafice dependability because I still drive it out of state all the time, and haul a lot of pretty heavy trailers and how much more boost these make over factory? or even how much boost a ecoboost can hold safely? I normally dont race mine unless its a hemi or a 5.3 or dirtymax saying something about the wecoboost, but I was also wondering if you ran a really low boost tune sort of for daily to work and for fuel millage, if these would help the millage out any at all possibly with easy driving? sorry about all the questions ive just been trying to find info and nobody has done it yet or at least told the story, if y'all could help me out I would really appreciate it, thank you

    Why can’t you tune that dip in the power curve out ????
    Aren’t you able to make more power with the OEM full race turbos now ? As we have seen over 500tq & 470 rwhp with the same high end gains & Avg gains as well, many times without any issues supposedly..not including the Odd freaks pushing 500RwHp plus although I’m not sure how long they are able to last without built motors...
    I’ve been on the fence since 2014 about adding bigger turbos Back then I was too worried about fuel or having to do remote tunes 50times but they’ve been around for so long & the aftermarket has helped out with additional parts & the tunes have probably gotten better
    Refined over the yrs..So at some point I will jump on the bandwagon too..

    @MPT Performance How does a turbo upgrade with a re-tune compare to a PRX on an otherwise stock motor? (So... PRX with stock turbos to PRX tweaked for upgraded turbos)

    sure wish my aem reservoir would fit like that in my 2013 f150 5.0. I think it will have to go into the box.

    Good grief, that thing is nasty! Makes me miss my 14. Only thing that would make this video better is JR's soothing and silky voice.

      I've only had it at the dragstrip once. It ran 13.7, but without any real 'effort' put into the run. I forgot to turn off the A/C, and simply floored the truck when the light turned green. That run is here---> drive.google.com/open?id=1ZGHHKweKOoeaI8FWgctStQcg3NN062EM

    Why can't I find anything about these cavalli turboes, I'm wanting to purchase some and get my build underway??

    • @mptperformance

      The Cavalli turbos are no longer available, but there are other options. www.morepowertuning.com/frM-9438-35TA

      MPT Performance some where in the mid 500whp range

    • @mptperformance
      @mptperformance  6 років тому

      The Ford Performance turbo upgrade plus 93 or E30 tune, intercooler, and water/meth injection should be good for 460 -480whp. More than that would need pistons, rods, and headstuds.

  • @garzatun
    @garzatun 7 років тому

    About how much would it cost to get those numbers on my 2014?

    • @mptperformance
      @mptperformance  7 років тому

      Assuming you have access to 93 octane gas, you'd need a tuning device like an SCT X4 with an MPT tune, bigger turbos, and an upgraded intercooler like one from Wagner Tuning, Full Race, or Levels Performance. As of right now it comes to $3,728.95. www.morepowertuning.com/

      Mike why would you need a larger intercooler with meth? Would the chemical change give you lcolder ait's than you could get with even the best fmic?

    • @mptperformance
      @mptperformance  7 років тому

      Correct at 5800, wish it was the entire curve, but regardless this thing hauls compared to stock.

    • @porscheguy09
      @porscheguy09 7 років тому +1

      Frank Martinez they're comparing it at exactly 5800 RPM which on a stock engine the horsepower is dropping significantly by then. Stock engines horsepower peaks around 5100 RPM and drops fast after that. With the tune the horsepower and torque have a nice curve that don't peak until almost 5000 RPM for the torque and around 6000 RPM for the horsepower. This upgrade gives you really good power gains and strong performance throughout the RPM range. That's what's so great about the EcoBoost engines. Ford has them dialed down for economy from the factory and that leaves them open for a lot of gains. Lots of potential in all the EcoBoost engines.
