The life you live now is not so different from what people did centuries ago, but with the addition of technology that would have been considered "superpowers" in older times. You have an interesting mix of the old with the new.

I'm ready to join you, or I should say, I'm preparing to join you when the SHTF. Total respect for you, and I understand how hard it is to have this type of free life, since everything is designed, built, sold, bought, regulated and coded for people that are on that race up the fake ladder. I have similar desires to live life outside of this system, hope to see you on the road. I'll be the handyman with my tool wagon behind my bicycle. Keep showing us the way and keeping it real.

When the SHTF mate, make sure you have enough tubes, tyres, puncture repair kit's, chains, a few spokes, chain oil, decent accom, to carry around with you. I am the same, and live off my bike 75% of the time, with my dog in tow. Mostly deep in the bush. Luckily we have some modern conveniences, to fall back on. at the moment but it wont be long before their all gone. I just wish I had my sicarom with me here, have not seen him for over 60 years, one day I will be back home and we will be together again. I am just lucky enough to have my dog, whilst I am here..

Honestly though there are soo many other “solar evacuated tube cooker” companies and models out there that are more affordable too it might he smart for me to start trying out other besides the one alternative brand i started with in my earlier videos that 30% shorter than gosun sport. I noticed some quotes in the Bible when I was searching about sheep and nomads etc ... They are all pointing to you and your ways as the good Shepherd , very interesting, it's cool to see your sheeps response , they are not simply farm animals to you they are your appreciated pets , that you love dearly, they love you too , those ovens are cool , this technology is ancient too concave copper disks were used to concentrate the light (I forgot why or where)
Doormat: a peice of tanned hide sheep goat deer whatever you prefer
I like to see you wearing the clothes you made , the more independence you can pull off the better , true independence is what I seek , and I am realizing that undomestication is a key

Concave copper discs ? Hmm, are you thinking of them being used in a warfare situation?
I remember reading ( many years ago ) of a Greek who realised they could dazzle and perhaps even blind advancing forces. I guess if a good focal point was found heat would soon be generated. I have used plastic bagged water to start fire before, manipulating the bag to find a strong focal point. If you can create a prism, it works well.

I have made brownies in 10 degree weather and it isn’t any appreciably different than in the summer. You don’t need it to be completely sunny either, just periods of sun to warm it up because it’s like a Thermos that gets super hot in the sun.
Seems like most things take 1:15 to 1:30 to cook whether it’s baking brownies or browning sausages.

The Gosun Sport is by far the best and in my opinion the only one worth using, the gosun Go is too small for a full meal and the reflector is much too small and is also shorter than the tube so you have to keep turning it to track the sun. The larger solar evacuated tubes(there are many many other cheaper brands) are too large of a diameter to heat up and cook nearly as efficiently.

I only recommend that version because I like the grammar that it uses but yeah I wouldn’t recommend the Roman Catholic preachings outside of what’s said by Jesus in the gospels. There’s also some premium wisdom to be found in the proverbs of Solomon and the epistle of John.

Speaking of John the |Baptist, he ate locusts. I vaguely remember that when I was a little kid, one of my older brothers had heard about John the Baptist living on grasshoppers, so he had the rest of us catching grasshoppers and he had a frying pan and was frying the grasshoppers and we were eating them. My dad told me years later that it smelled good and that he remembered it. For me, it's only a very vague memory. I tried it as an adult years ago. I deep fried them and it tasted like shrimp. In some parts of the world they even have street vendors who sell grasshoppers.

Hi Aaron, I keep trying to buy one but darn they are always sold out...but I won't give up. I have and can't unplug from life to the extent you have...but I've created my own fort with over a six foot fence completely surrounding my place in this crazy assed neighbor hood with gossip and fake happiness...and parties which I have always refused to go to. One of the single women in here and I get along well with men much better then women, I think because I have never had a princess life and took myself and two small children to Alaska to get away from one screwed up dysfunctional family .... up thru the beautiful Yukon and into a small village outside of Anchorage and started life a new...I met a fantastic mentor that was one tough lady that helped me and my babies a place to live before winter hit and began a life that I had hoped would be better. It was until family found me...then damn not just family but I discovered no matter where I traveled people are all the same ... even isolated from the lower 48 ...people are basically the same, correct people who live in the world of working and living and trying to get ahead and frustrated and become unhappy and mean...damn they are all the same no matter where you go that eventually you discovery that being alone and ones own truth is the only way to be happy and at peace with the world. I have grandkids now so I need to be close for them, sometimes they ask me questions about life or myself and I tell them the truth I have discovered...got their parents mad at me...but if a child asks me a question in honesty, I am going to answer them in honesty. Shits always hitting the fan around this place so I put my fence up...I have a protective husky, with what they consider unsightly but legal signs of no trespassing and beware of Dog ... Kenai is young and a good watch dog but would he bite? doubtful...he's a bit of a clown. Every year the world seems more hostile, more competitive....and I hate what the world has become a little more every year that I see unjust and injustices that inwardly make me cry but outwardly ... I always have to project strength because people seem to tests people like me and you....people who are individuals, and look for the love and compassion in this world and I have nothing in common with women, I ride a harley and if you ever see me out of levi's and a sweat shirt....and in a dress or skirt and sweater ... you can bet I'm going to a funeral. I have spent my life taking care and working for others. Now its my turn. I like myself and I also like the way I am. What you see is what you get, I am me and play no games. Ah yes, mind games...hence the fence. I've slowly turned I guess into a bit of a hermit...but that's all right. I kinda like that no one can even come up to my door and knock unless I know them well enough to have my cell number. I worked for years as a hospice nurse, that taught me a tremendous amount of life lessons and what it takes to keep my own spirit alive and well. People don't seem to value life or lifes experiences anymore...they rarely have the desire to be different even if they found inner peace. You have...more then most, yet few people will understand your journey. Even though I no longer travel and camp I live in my own peaceful little fort ... in peace. I just have learned I don't like to deal with people who do not know any degree of enlightenment. Be safe along with your journey ... I totally love those baby sheep my heart melts when I watch them run. The one before the twins thought you were his papa his best friend. Where di that little bugger go? Shewt now I wish I'd built this house farther out before all these other people discovered my place on the ocean...they broughtt traffic, gossip, parties....and bull shit.oops soory my bad.God speed Aaron ...keep up the good fight and live free.

Hey could you please let me know what the name of your sprayershower is called?

    • @bstreetbistro
      @bstreetbistro 3 роки тому

If you mean that metal cylinder which is pumped to create a spray, after Aaron recommended it, I did a bit of research and bought one on Amazon. It looked so cool, but the one I got the top wouldn't open easily as it should, unless I was doing something wrong.
I returned it, and did even more research before discovering that these expensive steel units sometimes get good reviews, but way too often they don't. Like I said, the top on mine was apparently stuck.
So I just bought a cheaper plastic pump sprayer. Works great. About $25 on Amazon.

I really want to get one of these for living out of a bike trailer. I made my own with cardboard and aluminium foil, but it doesn't. Work well in the winter. You're exactly right that the evacuated tube is a miracle idea.
Do you have recommendations on where to get one?
Right now I'm using a solar panel and an induction stove, but it's not long term sustainable. Plus the battery is heavy.
I can get away with using a hole in the ground filled with straw to keep the heat in a pot for a long time after heating, but it's not something I can do in a pinch.
