Ashihara katas 1992

This Video was made in Aberdeen in 1992. It has been lost ever since, It luckily showed up after 20 years. To the people who was around at that time it will probably wake, some good memories. It shows all the katas from 8th kuy to 1 Dan. Performed by Thomas Frederiksen and Morten Wagner. DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR KATAS ?

This is the most practical Karate that I know of. The Katas and the training are the actual movements that you can perform during sparing or indeed a fight. RIP Master Ashihara and thank you for showing us a true form of self defence.

It gets even better once you fully understand the principals of "Sabaki" moves as Kancho intended the Style to be.... There are books that one can purchase, and learn the true Ashihara Karate!

Ashihara Karate was in its primitive stages this days.... most Senseis came from Kyo Kushin Kay Karate (including me) and everything was linear no different from Kyo Kushin Kay. Ashihara Karate is all circular movements. You all must read Kancho Ashihara's books...
